2013 Subaru Wrx Sti Limited, Loaded, 440 Whp, Mint Condition on 2040-cars
Portage, Indiana, United States
Up for sale is my 2013 STi Limited Sedan in Satin White
Pearl with 10,000 miles located in Northwest Indiana. This car has every stock
option that can be purchased from Subaru factory installed (literally, every
option). This includes navigation, homelink, the compact subwoofer in the
trunk, carbon fiber accent pieces, STI front lip spoiler, color matched door
bumpers, ambient red lighting system under the footwells, rear cupholder,
bumper protector that you can fold out when loading the trunk to avoid bumper
scratches... Everything. This is the limited model, and has heated leather seats, power
moonroof, and fog lights. This is an adult owned / adult driven car and I am the
original owner, with clear title in hand (no bank, this car is paid in full). I
have the original manual, all keys, and original window sticker as well. Most importantly, this STi is loaded with modifications for
both reliability and power. All work was performed at P&L Motorsports in
Chicago and was tuned by JRTuned. This car made 440WHP on E85 with one of the
fastest spooling turbos on the market. Its a dream to drive, and can switch between premium gasoline and E85 with the push of a button using the included Cobb AccessPort. This car has no
mechanical or cosmetic issues. This car has been garage kept since purchase,
and has not been raced or tracked. This car has been babied. This car has well over $20,000 of work into it (with
receipts to prove it) and cost over $47,000 new after options. Reason for
selling is wife is pregnant and its time I got a family car (SUV). This car burns no oil, and has no mechanical defects. Buyer will also receive all stock parts (turbo, intercooler, etc.) - including an STP Exhaust. This is nearly $2,000 of parts. If you would like this car to be evaluated at an independent
dealership or mechanic of your choosing, that's fine but it will be your
expense. I will drive the car to your mechanic anywhere within reason (100
miles of Northwest Indiana, or so). I am also willing to ship but once again,
buyer will bear this expense. A full list of modifications is below:

Subaru supplies running low as automaker struggles to keep up with US demand
Sun, 02 Jun 2013Consumers in the US are gobbling up Subaru models, a trend that may result in dealer shortages if the Japanese automaker isn't able to meet the surging demand. A quick look at the numbers reveals a 25.2 percent year-over-year jump in April US sales, and a 17-percent gain for the first quarter of 2013. The sales are so strong that the company's CEO, Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, told the Wall Street Journal that Subaru will exceed its 2016 goals (380,000 US units sold) by the end of the company's current business year. The US market has grown to be one of Subaru's best, with the company now logging about half its global sales on our shores.
While strong sales are good problem to have, the automaker has relatively limited production capacity, which may leave dealers with sparse inventory. Certain models, such as the popular Forester crossover (shown above), could hit 10,000 units this month with the plant at full capacity (far above its target of 8,000 units). On average, the US car industry has a 60-day supply of vehicles on hand, but inventory for the new Forester is at just 16 days. "If this situation persists, we'll face a supply shortage," Mr. Yoshinaga told the WSJ.
Despite being one of the smallest Japanese automakers by volume, this is all positive news for Subaru and parent Fuji Heavy Industries, which projects a second straight year of record operating profit thanks to strong US sales and a weaker yen.
Next Subaru WRX and STI to go sedan only; reveal headed for LA
Mon, 26 Aug 2013After a serious bit of teasing at the 2013 New York Auto Show, Subaru might be finally preparing to pull the sheets off of the production versions of the new WRX and STI. The venue, according to Automotive News, will be the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Besides that tasty bit of info, AN has a number of other interesting ideas about the 2015 WRX.
If you've been a fan of the five-door bodystyle, don't read this - the next WRX and STI will reportedly go four-door only. We've already seen the latter's whopping great wing, a tradition we're happy to see soldering on for next-gen car. According to the AN report, power figures to be around 265 horsepower from a 2.5-liter, turbocharged, flat-four engine.
Los Angeles is still quite far off, so expect to hear more rumblings about a production WRX or STI in the coming weeks. Take a look above for our most recent batch of spy photos, and then hop down below for some images of the stunning WRX Concept that was shown at New York.
Scion trying to build business case for FR-S convertible as Subaru bows out
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Hope may remain for a convertible version of the Scion FR-S, according to a report from Ward's Auto. You'll recall that rumors were swirling about the feasibility of a rear-drive Toyobaru convertible as early as October, and that back in November, Subaru - which makes the FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 - essentially nixed the idea of an open-topped variant.
"We make the car, so if we don't make it, it can't happen," brand chief Yasuyuki Yoshinaga told Automotive News, according to Ward's, at the Tokyo Motor Show. "Our engineering department told me that losing the entire roof requires a complete redesign of the structure. It would need a big change."
Despite Yoshinaga-san's arguments against a droptop variant, Toyota is apparently still considering the model. Speaking to media at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, Scion's US vice president, Doug Murtha, hinted that the rear-drive droptop was in the works.
