I have owned the car since January of 2014 and I've driven it often. When I bought the car, it had only 13,000
miles on it, so all though this is still a very low mileage car, you can expect a well sorted and reliable 911
Turbo.
The car has had the 30,000 mile service done and has brand new Bridgestone tires with less than 1000 miles on them.
The clear bra has done a great job of protecting the paint, but there are still some very minor flaws that I have
tried to show in the pictures.
I have been very careful not to slide in and out of the seats so this car doesn't show the typical bolster wear on
the drivers seat.
There has never been any paint work on this car anywhere.
The spoiler rams have been replaced as well as the clutch accumulator (typical issues for these cars).
There is no 2nd gear pop out issues.
The oil has been changed every 5000 miles or less.
Always kept inside. Even when I've driven it to work, it gets a spot inside the building.
Detailed regularly.
I have installed a Kline exhaust system that sounds incredible. No drone, but a great wail when you're into the
throttle.
I added a 1.0 bar tune from 911tuning about a year ago (the same time I installed the exhaust) and this car runs
fantastic. It can also be taken back to stock in just a few minutes time.
Lots of service history.

Now for the not so good stuff...
I have shown a picture of the rear view mirror. It has a weird line through it that looks like half is daytime and
half is night time (the mirror changes for the conditions).
There are a few nicks on the car that I have shown in the pictures, but the car is frequently mistaken for new by
people that don't recognize the 996 headlights.
That's really about it... This car is in fantastic, take it anywhere, condition.

Porsche calls in The Committee for Boxster and Cayman GTS

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

Porsche is set to offer up the very first GTS variants of its more affordable Boxster convertibles and Cayman coupes. This is very good news for enthusiasts. Aside from our original post announcing the hotted up models, though, Porsche hasn't given us much to go on.
And you know what? This video isn't much of help either. It's called The Committee, and we're guessing it's meant to highlight the lengths that Porsche went to in designing what are essentially sportier trim levels for its two most affordable entries. Still, it's a stylized and entertaining video with a few entertaining driving scenes scattered throughout, and it gives just a small glimpse of Porsche's view of the vaunted GTS badge.
Take a look below for the full video.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S vs Ariel Atom Supercharged in unlikely drag battle

Thu, 01 May 2014

David versus Goliath battles are always an enticing proposition, because they offer the chance to watch scrappy underdogs take on their bigger rivals. Evo has set up just such a battle with its latest drag race between the minimalist Ariel Atom 3.5 Supercharged (Ariel Atom 3 pictured below) and the plush Porsche Panamera Turbo S.
The two cars couldn't be more different. The Atom personifies Lotus founder Colin Chapman's well-known axiom: "Simplify, then add lightness." Most of the car doesn't even have a body; it's just an exposed frame with a 310 horsepower supercharged Honda four-cylinder mounted behind the driver. On the other side, there's the Panamera Turbo S. In the latest version, it packs 570 hp and 553 pound-feet from its 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8 and it features all-wheel drive. Of course, all of that comes with a significant weight penalty.
Off the line, the differences are even more apparent. The Atom doesn't have any of the Porsche's technological wizardry, so launching it challenges the driver to build the revs and let out the clutch just right. The car screams like a banshee as it goes, though. The Porsche is the exact opposite. Its launch control system lets the driver hold down the brake, get on the throttle and accelerate away in just the right way.

Watch Porsche's 918 Spyder break a sweat while hot weather testing

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

With five months left until the 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder enters production, Porsche engineers are still putting the hybrid sports coupe through a battery of last-minute tests. To give us new reasons to ogle over the car - as if we needed any more - Porsche has released a short video showing the 918 Spyder undergoing shakedown tests in the hot Nevada desert. And you can't drive through Nevada without visiting Vegas, too, right?
Although there's really nothing new to see in this video, it's still fun to watch as Porsche approaches one million test miles logged on this exciting new high-performance model. One interesting part (at around the 0:37 mark) shows the car taking off under electric power and then transitioning to engine power, which results in a mix of whirs and growls as the 918 Spyder switches from a 127-horsepower electric vehicle to an 887-hp hybrid supercar. Scroll down to watch - and hear - Porsche's latest creation in motion.
