1993 Nissan Hardbody.  I purchased the truck from the previous owner out of Arizona.  Suspension work was done at LOWBOY MOTORSPORTS out in Arizona.  C-notched, tubular back half, twin 380 vi-air compressors.  When i purchased the truck the suspension was completed, Toyota front bumper swap was done and it was in primer.  I brought the truck to my shop where it was torn apart to have the Interior and Exterior work completed.  The truck was shaved and sprayed HOUSE OF KOLOR TANGELO PEARL.  Interior is Pathfinder seats covered in black Tweed with Orange stitching, door panels the same and the headliner is all black tweed.  Dash  has the corner vents shaved and sprayed the same Tangelo Pearl as the truck.  IT DOES HAVE WORKING HEAT, NO A/C.  Truck runs and drives great. Motor was Rebuilt last summer using all OEM parts, have Receipts to prove. It does need a throw out bearing.  I'm looking to build something new so it's time to sell. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 585-750-7200, please remember what time zone your calling from if you decide to call at night. Thanks for looking

Nissan gives us the business on the art of clay modeling

Sat, 06 Apr 2013

The team from The Dashboard recently stopped by the Nissan Technical Center in Japan for a look at what exactly goes into creating a full-scale clay model. While automakers have been using clay bucks for decades, designers and engineers are now combining computer renderings and hand-sculpted clay models to determine how a new vehicle will look in our world. Engineers use specially formulated clay kept warm in an oven to bring the body panels to life. They then coat the clay in a thin plastic film to add body color for the final look.
By the time everything is said and done, workers may have hundreds of hours in the model's creation. So, what happens when the company no longer needs the buck? They get scrapped. Someone comes in and dismantles the whole creation. We presume that action is set to the wailing tears of everyone who had a hand in building the model. Check out the video below for a closer look.

Nissan pulling Facebook ads over hate speech concerns

Fri, 31 May 2013

The system for advertising on Facebook allows companies to target specific demographics with ads that follow people based on their personal information, but as some companies have been finding out lately, this could lead to their ads showing up on questionable pages. According to Automotive News and The New York Times, Nissan has joined a growing list of companies that has pulled its advertising until the social media giant can guarantee that the ads won't appear on offensive pages.
This issue came about as a result of a group calling for Facebook to ban gender-based hate speech that went unchecked on some fan pages. Apparently, some of these offensive pages even showed images of women being abused. We won't post the names of the offensive pages, but you can find some of them listed on the NYT article, though it looks like most of the pages have since been removed. As for Nissan, AN says that the only ads it had at the time were for Nissan UK, and there is no telling how this issue will affect Facebook advertising in the future.

2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo is Japanese for "Zero Competition"

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

It was only a little more than a year ago that we were wondering if there would be a new Nissan GT-R, now here we are writing about the introduction of two of them. Carlos Ghosn himself unveiled the new 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo and the standard-in-name-only 2015 GT-R on which it is based. The Nismo is all about ape-chested mojo, coming with the tagline "Zero Competition," GT3-derived tweaks without and within and a 'Ring time of 7:08.679.
Nissan also brought the actual 'Ring-running car to the event and you'll notice that it has a different rear wing than the two show cars. We were told that the wing on the time-setting car would be available on the car that goes on sale, Nissan intending to keep its "production car" promise.
You can check out the Nismo above in the new Dark Matte Grey exterior hue and in Brilliant White Pearl, as well as the new GT-R, its new Ivory interior and LED light signature below. We haven't written this in a while, so allow us to bring the challenge back: Porsche - your move...
