This 1990 Nissan 300zx is a fine example of what Nissan can do when they want to.  This is the first z I've owned, and in my opinion this car is equal to the stuff cars are doing now.  This car just wants to go around any corner you can find.  My friend used to own this car who works for me now doing my detailing. He kept this car in phenomenal shape when he had it.  He had sold it to a female friend over 6 years ago. The girl he sold it to drove it for a little bit as you will see on carfax if you ran it.  Or I can provide one for you.  She got the car with 132k on it and in 6 years only put 3k miles on it.  This car literally sat for 6 years.  She added some speakers and an amplifier.  She also spent some serious money getting the timing belts done on this car.  She then bought a jeep wrangler and took the car off the road.  Now the car sat for 6 years until just recently she contacted my friend and asked if he was interested in buying the car back.  He then contacted me and I just had to go look at the Z.  Now she is being offered up for sale by me.  She isn't perfect, but as you can see with my price, I'm just looking to find this fairlady a good home.  If you want to call me and set something up please do 631-456-7189  I'm new to ebay, so right now id like to do cash only.  I have a pay pal account set up so if we have to go that way we'll see.  Thank you for your interest in my vehicle.

Roller coaster or racecar, which pulls more Gs?

Tue, 15 Jul 2014

Looking for a thrill? You're not the only one. You'll find kindred spirits at airfields going up for a skydive, atop bridges and towers with bungees attached to their feet and standing in line for roller coasters at the local amusement park. But you'll also find them in the paddock at the racing circuit.
So what's the commonality? G-force. It's like gravity, only in each of these cases, it's experienced by human invention. But which activity subjects your body to the greatest amount of g-force? That's what Nissan set to find out.
Before putting them back in the cockpit, Nismo sent out two of its young hot-shoes - Jann Mardenborough and Mark Shulzhitskiy - to an amusement park in the UK with a camera and a g-force meter to find out if any of the coasters could produce as much lateral gravitational force as an LMP2 racing car. See what they found in the pair of videos, below.

Renault-Nissan debuts new Common Module Family for future vehicles

Thu, 20 Jun 2013

Platform sharing is nothing new for the 14-year-old Renault-Nissan Alliance, but this partnership is set to introduce new modular platform components that will eventually underpin 11 Renault models and three Nissan vehicles by 2020. Rather than being a typical platform, the Common Module Family (CMF) actually represents five segments of a platform that can be used in various applications, and one of the first vehicles to use this architecture will be the 2014 Nissan Rogue (spy shots of which are shown below) when it arrives "in late 2013."
As pictured in the image above (click to expand), CMF is composed of four chassis component, principally the front underbody, rear underbody, engine bay and cockpit as well as a common electrical system. Besides the next-gen Rogue, future Nissan models to share CMF will include the Qashqai and X-Trail, while Renault models will start using the platform next year on vehicles including the Scénic and Laguna. The CMF architecture is expected to help the Alliance reduce the parts cost of a vehicle by up to 30 percent and reduce the entry cost by up to 40 percent. The official press release with more details about CMF, and what it means for Renault-Nissan, is posted below.

Nissan hopes to inject some spice into Rogue with 'Open The Briefcase'

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Nissan is in the midst of rolling out the redesigned 2014 Rogue and has launched an interesting social media game called Open The Briefcase. The video that launches this game depicts a simple ride-share gone very wrong, with a man getting embroiled in a high-speed chase in a bid to escape with a strange briefcase. Eventually, it all goes haywire, and the man and his driver are captured. The only question seems to be, what's in the briefcase?
The contest, which asks participants to select one of three briefcases by cracking a code, is set to reward three individuals with a new Rogue. New attempts can be made each day, and participants can get additional chances to open a briefcase by sharing the video. The contest kicked off on January 3 and will run until February 14. Hop over to the contest page on Facebook to take part, or just watch the video below and enjoy a bit of entertainment.
