1987 300ZX for sale by Original Owner. 67,937 miles. Black with Gray Interior, 2 Seat Hardtop (No T-Top), Automatic Transmission, V-6 Engine. I purchased this vehicle new in January 1987 from Trophy Nissan, Mesquite, Texas. It has always been a smoke free vehicle. New battery installed within past year and new tires within past 3 years with low mileage on tires. Vehicle has been kept in garage all its life except for approximately 1 year when I lived in an apartment; however then it was kept under covered parking. Vehicle is in good condition and I have all maintenance records. Work needed according to mechanic who installed conversion kit for the new R-134A freon is that the compressor and dryer should be replaced as he said the compressor is leaking freon. I have written quote for replacement of these 2 items for $599.99. I did not have the compressor replaced since the A/C is cooling, but I assume that it should be replaced and the price seems reasonable. There are some minor cosmetic items that can be done: (1) Overdrive button on gearshift lever does not stay pushed in, but by using a tape restraint it does stay in and does not interfere with the overdrive operation, (2) Console box lid hinge has separated, but the lid fits okay, (3) AM-FM radio has only minimal volume. This was caused when a cassette got stuck in the cassette player and I had to forcefully remove it, resulting in the radio volume being diminished considerably. Some adjustment needs to be made to the radio, but I don't know what. There are no scratches, dents, or cracked glass on the vehicle, however the left front fender has been replaced twice. A car bent the left front fender in May 1998 and again in December 1998. Both times I had the fender replaced with a brand new Nissan factory fender from Nissan (I did not accept a used fender). The work was done by a quality body shop here in Dallas, Texas. One cannot tell by visual observation that the fender has ever been replaced.
Buyer will need to pick up this vehicle from my residence or arrange for mutually suitable shipping arrangements to be made, such arrangements to be at Buyer's expense, after proceeds from sale have been satisfactorily received.

Nissan Juke-R pitted against Bugatti Veyron in brilliantly odd drag race
Mon, 10 Jun 2013The Nissan Juke-R must've been a tough car to build a business case for, yet the madcap little crossover with the heart of a GT-R is now a production reality. Admittedly, we should probably assign some quotes around "production," since the vehicle is being built on a one-by-one on-demand basis at extraordinary cost - at an estimated price of well over $600,000, it has little in common with the already bonkers everyday Juke. We're just happy it exists at all.
With 545 horsepower, we also didn't figure it needed more power. But that apparently hasn't stopped the tuning community, which probably only had to adapt performance adders designed for the GT-R to the mechanically similar CUV. Thus, we end up with this mile-long drag race, which pits a Bugatti Veyron against a Juke-R prepared by an outfit called Shpilli Villi Engineering with a claimed 700 horsepower. That's still well down on horsepower versus the legendary quad-turbo supercar, but the much smaller Nissan also figures to be a lot lighter while boasting similar all-wheel-drive traction. We don't have much more information to go on other than this video, and it doesn't appear that both drivers necessarily got their best runs in, but it certainly makes for jaw-dropping watching. Nismo GT-R poised to be fastest Nissan ever
Mon, 17 Jun 2013For almost every year since the Nissan GT-R first debuted, Nissan has been figuring out how to cram more power under the hood or give it 911-like quickness around the Nürburgring. Looking to create a brand image for its performance arm, we already knew that a hotter, Nismo-branded GT-R was in the works, but it seems some details may have leaked regarding this new Nismo GT-R.
While little has been spoken of this Super GT-R since February, Top Gear is reporting that Nismo is planning to make improvements to the coupe's power, handing and styling - three things that we're sure few have complained about since 2009. What could this mean for the GT-R? According to the article, Nismo could be looking to raise horsepower from the current 545-hp mark to more than 570 hp, and handling upgrades could give the car a 'Ring lap time of seven minutes and 22 seconds, which as Top Gear points out, is four seconds quicker than the new 911 GT3.
