1973 Jaguar XKE 5.3-liter V12, Series III, Roadster, re-conditioned 4-Speed, Sable exterior restored with Biscuit
interior restored.

The Sable paint is a very rare color, people look at the color and remark on the quality and shine. I have the
Protocols that were followed to paint this 1973 Jaguar. *Strip all old paint down to metal, 80 Grit soft pad, 80
Grit, DA, sandblast as needed, weld few areas as needed, epoxy prime bare steel areas, body shaping and adjustments
as needed, polyester primer, 2 coats, block sand total car, polyester primer, 2 coats, final sanding, polyester
color, 5 coats, polyurethane clear, 3 coats, wet sand and buff, then polish.

All the bumpers were chromed, new muffler system, quad central exhaust outlets, new brakes/shocks, 5 new wire
wheels with 5 new tires, original car jack, lead mallet/hub cap, all the lights were repaired or replaced. The
exterior paint is Sable (matching factory color) and leather interior is Biscuit, with a matching new convertible
top and boot cover. Koolmat insulation under the carpet, makes the car run quieter and cooler. Remove all the old
undercoating and respray the bottom with high quality undercoating, we did not undercoat the last 5 feet, panted
this area in Sable.

Complete replacement of all rubber inside, engine compartment and outside the car. The following were original new
replacements; any part connected to the brakes and steering, Car filters, radiator, dual fans, fuel pump,
distributor with all new wires, water pump and cap. All the 4 carbonators were removed, rebuilt and adjusted. All
the gauges are original and work, including the clock. Gas tank was removed and cleaned in and out, including new
factory battery. The V12 engine had a 145 to 158 compression test , the numbers are the same as a brand
new engine. The engine does not burn any oil and only a few drops of oil out the rear-end.

Jaguar Land Rover puts the freeze on wounded soldier-athletes [w/video]

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

For athletes, the cold is often a powerful ally in treating injures, with RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation) a popular means of treating muscle pulls, bruising and other common forms of discomfort. Did you know, though, that frosty temps are also popular tools for simply recovering from a rough training session?
Well, we're guessing Jaguar Land Rover knew that, as the British company was kind enough to loan out its climactic testing chamber to Jaco van Gass and Luke Darlington, a pair of veterans wounded in their service to Queen and Country. Van Gass, a former private in the Royal Army, and Darlington, a Royal Marine, are attempting to earn a spot on the British Armed Forces cycling team for the upcoming Invictus Games.
The Games, inspired by the Warrior Games held in the United States, are a sporting competition reserved for injured servicemen and women, either active duty or veterans, and is slated to take place from September 10 to 14 in London's former Olympic venues. Van Gass lost his left arm below the elbow after getting hit by a rocket-propelled grenade (he also suffered from a collapsed lung, punctured internal organs, severe shrapnel and blast wounds, a broken tibia and a fractured knee). Darlington, meanwhile, suffered a traumatic brain injury during action in Afghanistan, and he now suffers from weakness in his right side and cognitive issues.

Are you the Jaguar F-Type Coupe R-S?

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

It's no secret that Jaguar is working on a fixed-roof version of the F-Type roadster, but now it looks like it's also developing a high-performance model for said coupe. Captured sharpening its claws at the Nürburgring, this F-Type Coupe prototype could very well be an R-S or even a more track-ready R-S GT variant.
Our biggest clue suggesting the latter are its massive brake rotors with bright-yellow calipers - similar pieces are also found on the recently introduced XKR-S GT. This would make sense, since a report in May said that Jaguar is looking to create a full line of R-S GT models in a similar fashion as the Mercedes-Benz AMG Black Series. Missing from this prototype, though, are the telltale aero add-ons we seen on the XKR-S GT - go-faster bits like the latter's front fascia winglets and rear wing, though this model is obviously still being developed. Regardless of what this new grippier, quicker kitty is called, we say "Yes, please."

Jaguar Land Rover opens winter testing facility in Minnesota

Wed, 12 Dec 2012

As it begins the rollout of the all-wheel-drive Jaguar XJ and XF models, Jaguar Land Rover has just announced that it has opened a new facility in northern Minnesota for winter testing. Located in International Falls, MN (on the US and Canadian border), the British automaker says it is one of the coldest locations in the Continental US. Jaguar's new Instinctive All Wheel Drive system was developed primarily to help sell more cars in the northern US, so it only makes sense to open a testing area in the US as well.
With temperatures that can drop to minus 55 degrees Fahrenheit, International Falls was chosen to mimic some of the worst weather a Jaguar or Land Rover will ever see. The grounds house testing chambers, various road surfaces and even a frozen lake. This new facility complements the hot-weather testing grounds in Phoenix, AZ.
The official press release is posted below.
