Poor service, high prices

I had called Belle Tire in Fenton and received a price of $347.00 ""out-the-door"" pricing for 4 Navigator tires and an alignment. Fate would have it, as I was travelling to work, a tire went flat and I had to go to the Belle Tire in Waterford on Telegraph road.

As I was waiting outside when the manager arrived, I was allowed to come in at 7:45am. I expressed to the manager that I recieved the quote price in... view more Fenton and they honored it...kind of. The total bill was 60.00 more and all I added was an oil change.

They performed the service in an hour, quoting an hour and a half. But, they didn`t follow my directions or understand them apparently. I told them that the driver rear tire was to be put in the trunk and the tire in the trunk was to be replaced. They removed the tire off the rim on the driver rear and mounted it to the rim in the trunk....extra service charge, not necessary as the rims were all the same.

When I arrived at work, I went to place something in the trunk. Not only did they follow the letter of the request to the ""T""...putting the tire in the trunk...they just threw it in there, despite having gotten the other tire out of the provided wheel well. It would`ve taken 2 extra minutes to put it where it is supposed to go and is something my manager would`ve had a fit over if I had done so when I worked in a similiar establishment.

No discounts or other incentives were given for the amount of money I spent. And, if I am reading the invoice right, they charged me sales tax on the labor as well as parts, only parts are supposed to be sale taxed.

Since Belle Tire is not an independent store, but corporately owned....I feel like I was taken avantage of because of my situation (Flat tire, couldn`t go anywhere else).

All in all, I would rate my service as ""average"" and don`t plan on stopping at Belle Tire in the future except when warranty work on the tires is due (all `free` with the insurance).
