Reviews:

Overpriced Service
The right front CV Axle on my 10 year old Outback Wagon finally tore and needed to be fixed. Started the pricing research with Matt Slapp first. Parts and Labor $452. Wow!! So, kept researching and this is what I ended up doing. $48 dollar remanufactured CV axle from NAPA, $150 Labor expense at a local repair shop. Total time 1.25 hrs, I was clocking it. Matt Slapp service is a rip off. I will never trust them again.... view more I know it`s a business and revenue / retained earnings is the name of the game, but come on, charging unfair prices for repairs is unethical. I feel sorry for the people that work their. Good luck everybody, hope this helps you the next time you need a repair.

There`s not much I can say tha...
There`s not much I can say that is nice about this place. I did buy my Subaru from them, and I love my car, but I am not happy with my experiences with Matt Slap. Like stated before, they try their hardest to get you to pay the highest possible price. You must do your research and understand what the car you want is really worth and NOT settle for what they tell you its worth! I also, had a difficult time trading... view more in my old Subaru. Matt Slap would not give me what it was worth. I had to do a lot of negotiating before they finally honored my price. Recently, I took my car to get serviced. I specifically stated what services I wanted them to preform and because my mileage was near a ?ˆ?major?ˆ? service point, they conveniently added a service package to my bill. I was not aware of this added service until my car was done and the bill was presented. When I had my spouse call about the bill, they were told that I was aware of the cost of the service because they told me the price, 3 times. I WAS NEVER TOLD! In the beginning, told them what I wanted them to preform and because I had been there before and had the same services done, assumed my price would be around the same figure. BOY was I wrong! Needless, to say I called them back because they called me a liar to my spouse! Who in sales/customer service does this? Oh yea, Matt Slap. They reimbursed me for some of the services they performed, and also gave me some free services (Yeah, like I?ˆ™ll EVER go back there!) All I can say is BEWARE. Matt Slap is not the only Subaru dealer in Delaware so shop around!!

Salesman will be very friendly...
Salesman will be very friendly and do a lot and say a lot to gain trust (typical). Salesman said he had never heard of the Subaru Guaranteed Trade-In Program (GTP): http://www.subaru.com/finance-center/guaranteed-trade-in-program/index.html They will try to give you less than the (GTP) for your Subaru trade-in. I mentioned when I went to buy my new car that I received a letter from Subaru saying my car was worth... view more more than what they were offering, and the salesman brushed it off as "marketing". The salesman also shook my hand on a negotiated price for the new car. 20 minutes later he came back saying he had made a mistake and needed to increase the price by a couple hundred dollars. The financing lady tried to pull a fast one on me as well for a couple hundred dollars. When I went to sign the finance papers, I noticed that the price of the car was higher than the final agreed upon price. First she said that it was some sort of "processing/prep fee" that was built in, and then I pointed out that she had listed the "processing/prep fee" further down in the final document. She then said that she had made a mistake and that it was actually a transfer fee for theft insurance from the dealer to me for the car. They were doing me the favor of transferring it to me for a couple hundred dollars. She rushed me through the process of signing in hopes that I would miss this. Her words were, "No one has ever turned that insurance down". I replied to her that maybe no one else had ever noticed this bogus theft insurance "transfer fee" before, as it was not even itemized on any document I signed. It was just added to the final negotiated price of the car. Salesman name: Han Dervish
