I have babied this car since I bought it. Full Mobil 1 Synthetic oil changes every 5k... Car washed weekly and waxed seasonally. Very few blemishes. Wheels, emblems and bottom of front bumper were "PlastiDipped" black. Also dash, shifter and e-brake were covered in carbon vinyl. Both are easy to remove if desired. Car was bought as a Certified Honda and still has the warranty until 100k. Car has just over 96k miles. I bought it at 42k and most since have been highway miles to and from work. Still drives like new Clutch feels great almost all serviceable parts are new: All services are current: Oil Change <500 miles ago: 90% life still remaining Brand New Tires just waiting to be put on!!!! Battery is approx 1 year old. New Hawk Sport Brakes Pad and New Rotors all around and brake line flush in April '14 New NGK Iridium Plugs also April '14 New blaupunkt front door speakers Aftermarket GROM Bluetooth - Phone and Streaming Audio (works with stock radio) Prewired for Amp and Subwoofer (works with stock radio) 20% Tint All Around Mugen Window Visors Rear Window Lip Spoiler All Weather Floor mats Yellow Bulbs for Fog Lights with yellow lens film AEM Ram Air Intake...Still have original Airbox Many extra parts, including 2 quarts of Amzoil syncro-mesh Trans fluid (was going to do it at next oil change), original shift knob, touch-up paint, extra carbon vinyl and yellow film for fog lights. eBay Find of the Day: 1985 Honda City Turbo II is JDM forbidden fruit you can own
Fri, 14 Feb 2014It's always fun to cruise different global eBay Motors sites and check out the cars that we never got here. Thankfully, America's 25-year import limit on cars means that some of the rarities from the 80s are finally legal on these shores. This 1985 Honda City Turbo II is a great example of a fun, little car that we never got new but can be made legal here now.
The City was basically the Japanese company's '80s equivalent of today's Fit, albeit significantly smaller. The little urban runabout was so popular in its basic form that Honda decided to take things up a notch and turbocharge it. That car sold enough to warrant an even higher performance version called the Turbo II, which added an intercooler and the flared fenders you see here. The latter helped it earn the nickname "bulldog" for its boxy, aggressive appearance.
Honda claimed at the time that its little 1.2-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder produced 109 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque with a five-speed manual. In a car that weight just 1,620 pounds, you can imagine it was a very entertaining little package.

Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.

Honda pulling plug on slow-selling Insight hybrid

Insight hasn't amounted to even a tenth of Prius sales, and well over half of those sold were JDM.
It's been a rough ride for the Honda Insight, and now its journey appears to be at an end - word is that the five-door hybrid hatchback is going out of production.
