im selling my 1983 jeep scrambler cj8 it has a 2 year old paint job that looks amazing very straight very high quality paint job.No rust no dents all original metal. it also has a 4"diamond lift kit a 2" body lift 33" tires it has all new weather stripping on the full jeep doors with new door handles it has a new windsheild with new wether stripping aswell. when i had the jeep paint i had the body blasted down to bare metal and removed from the frame. the windsheild the paint job was very high quality and looks so good in person. i put a chevy 350 crate motor in it with the original 4spd the jeep drives great. it starts up easy and drives straight and nice. i drive on the highway daily and its smooth, the jeeps clutch is new lift kit and shocks are 2 years old. the jeeps 4x4 works fine i never take it off road . i installed a back seat with belts for my kids but the seat can be easily unbolted if you want it back to original truck use. i have the original scrambler truck hard top that i had re textered and painted when i had the jeep painted.every car show i go to people stop and love the jeep i get thumbs up when i drive it. the jeep drives very nice and is fun to drive. it is not flawless its regular wear on the paint and body but i honestly never seen a nicer cj8 in person or a better paint job on a jeep.the pictures describe the jeeps cosmetic condition . the jeep has new dual exhaust that sounds nice not loud . i also recently installed new alternator . im including all and any extra jeep parts i have with the sell of the jeep wich is the extra set of doors and the soft top hard top extra mirrors running lights 2 keys .i have clean title in hand. my feedback is great because im honest seller this jeep is nice! the buyer is responsable for pick up or any shipping costs.also the jeep has a tilt steering wheel all guages work all lights work horn works 4x4 works jeep shifts smooth. comes with bikini top half doors wirh soft inserts and hard top and hard doors i also will throw in some extra mirrors and a power brake booster.

Maserati Levante crossover not Jeep based after all?

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Maserati has been teasing its crossover project since 2011, which is when it first showed off the Kubang concept (pictured above). Still, the production version, rumored to be called the Levante, remains a complete mystery. The CUV was first rumored to borrow the platform from the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but new rumors indicate that the Italian, luxury crossover might actually take the underpinnings from the Quattroporte and Ghibli.
In a brief interview, Maserati CEO Harald Wester told CNN Money that the Levante wouldn't use Jeep's platform. Motor Trend spoke with an unnamed Maserati engineer who confirmed the rumor. Officially, the company says that no decision has been made.
We can add this to another long list of rumors about the Italian CUV. It was originally supposed to be built at Chrysler's Jefferson North assembly plant in Detroit. Then, plans were changed to build it in Italy.

Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler wants mountains, not a stage

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

We've said it before and we'll say it again - while we usually grow tired of the endless barrage of special edition vehicles, that isn't the case with the Jeep Wrangler. Every unique model we encounter seems cooler than the one before it, and this Willys Wheeler Edition is no exception.
The Willys Wheeler package is sort of a throwback to early Jeep CJ models, and wears "Willys" stickers on the hood. There's also a gloss black grille, rock rails to protect the side sills, and unique 17-inch black wheels wrapped in meaty BF Goodrich KM Mud Terrain tires. For proper off-road prowess, this special edition uses a Dana 44 rear axle with a limited-slip differential and a 3.73 final drive ratio.
Look for the Willys edition to hit dealerships early next year, starting at $25,795 for the two-door version and $29,595 for the four-door. Feel free to read all about it in the press release below.

First Jeepster prototype spotted with final, boxy form

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

The long-awaited baby Jeep is getting closer to production, as evidenced by these spy photos. Previously, the only images of the so-called Jeepster saw it wearing a Fiat 500L body (see below), while this new batch of photos show hefty amounts of camouflage. How is that better? Well, it's very likely there's a production body hiding under all that cladding.
While picking out styling details is virtually impossible thanks to all the camo, as our spies point out, this gives us a very sound idea of the Jeepster's final size. It's small, although we'd argue that it's only slightly smaller than the current Jeep Patriot, based on the images of the newest Jeep sitting in front of an Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
As we reported previously, this little bambino will be built on a Fiat platform, but the styling should be uniquely Jeep - likely to include a somewhat vertical seven-slat grille and round headlights. We can expect to see a production Jeepster, if that ends up being the actual name (Latitude has been rumored, although as that's traditionally a trim level, we imagine there'd be some confusion), when it debuts at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
