1995 Gmg Suburban 2500 on 2040-cars
Massapequa, New York, United States
This is 1995 GMC Suburban 2500 LE that has the 8 cylinder 454 big block engine. I bought this truck from a mechanic and has been well maintained by him as well as myself. It starts right up and runs like a dream. It has 4WD and is equipped with the tow hitch and fully functional electric for trailer and electric break system. There is a third row of seats which is another whole back seat and can be removed. Full rear storage with barn style door that open outward instead of straight up. The car is very clean inside and out. There is only a stain that did not affect the texture of the third row seat and a small dent and scratch underneath the gas cap cover. There is a new radio and CD player deck. It is equipped with A/C, power windows, power locks. The tread on the tires are good and have plenty of miles left on them. The title is clean. The gas gauge is a little shaky when the car is in motion but can still be read. It accurately tells the level of gas when stopped. The gas sensor was replaced before I purchased the truck. Minimal rust.
This is a great work truck and meant to tow extremely heavy loads. Please feel free to contact Michael with any further questions @ 516-250-1972. |

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra introduced
GM planning to put its fullsize pickups on a big diet, too
Fri, 19 Jul 2013General Motors is just coming off a complete redesign of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra for 2014, but in the US fullsize truck market, there is no rest for the weary. According to Reuters, plans are already unfurling for both trucks to drop pounds from their curb weight over the next few years, but this will unlikely be able to keep pace with the 700-pound diet targeted for the next-generation Ford F-150, a truck expected to debut late next year.
The biggest weight reduction for these trucks might not be available until the next full redesign, which will likely happen around 2019, but the article says that smaller updates could shave pounds in the meantime. Two examples given include an "aluminum-intensive" version of the Silverado that could shed 250 pounds and debut around the same time as the lighter-weight, aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford, and there is also talk of reducing weight for driveline components such as axles and driveshafts. These changes are all part of an attempt to meet strict new fuel economy standards coming in 2017, targets which will get even tougher in 2025.
GMC Canyon will debut in Detroit
Fri, 20 Dec 2013With the debut of the Chevrolet Colorado at November's Los Angeles Auto Show, perhaps it was only a matter of time before we saw the small truck's GMC counterpart. That time will be January, as we've received official confirmation that the GMC Canyon will be revived at next month's North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The news came in the latest issue of the Detroit Auto Show's newsletter, NAIAS Connect. The article hasn't been posted online quite yet, but it details the Canyon as one of the world production debuts slated for the show.
While we've heard rumors that the Canyon would arrive in Detroit, this is our first concrete bit of evidence. As we've detailed before, we expect the Canyon to be stylistically quite different than the Colorado, though the underpinnings will be shared. The teaser image we have above is currently our only look at the new truck. We'll hopefully have more details in the next few weeks as the GMC Canyon draws closer to its official debut.
