custom/modified Half Ton Pickup (1/2 ton) has been on many club cruises and
driven to numerous car shows in Southern Arizona.
Comfortable with rural roads and runs at freeway speeds with ease. This is a
vehicle you can have fun with as is, or drive and show while you redo it to fit
your dream. Vehicle has clear Arizona
title, and is currently registered and driven.
12v system One Piece fiberglass tilt front hood and fenders, custom
grill, Low mileage Ford 460 engine, & C-6 Transmission with aftermarket floor shifter, and
console. Complete new exhaust system, Ranger seats, new drive-line, 1965 Ford pickup nine (9) inch
rear end, relocated 20 gallon under bed gas tank, custom wheels, decent tires,
and other than some surface rust, an extremely nice solid body, floors, doors,
running boards, brackets, and frame. Needs:::: prep for paint completed, and painted, or leave as is for the patina. Needs upholstery or? Or do it to fit your choice. Bed floor replaced Radio and speaker (retro sound reproduction) or stock. Door access panels put back on. I am listing this for a friend, who has no computer, or computer skills. There are hundreds of vehicles up for bidding, ranging from a brand-new Lamborghini Aventador to a spattering of Art Deco classics and a huge swath of classic muscle cars.
While it's virtually impossible to assemble an inarguable list of the best cars coming during the three-day, 700-plus vehicle auction, we've sifted through the listings for this year's show - it was a tough assignment, we promise - and assembled a list of what we think will be some of the most interesting lots. Ford F-150 EcoBoost in NHTSA probe for acceleration issue
Tue, 28 May 2013According to Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching a probe into 400,000 Ford F-150 models over possible acceleration problems. According to the article, NHTSA has received 95 reports "alleging incidents of reduced engine power during hard accelerations" on 2011 to 2013 F-150 models equipped with the company's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.
Automotive News reports that Ford has issued three technical service bulletins "related to intermittent stumble/misfire on acceleration from highway cruise in humid or damp conditions," according to the government agency's documents. About one third of the 95 reports NHTSA has received cited humid or rainy conditions when these problems allegedly occurred.
These technical service bulletins have allowed dealers to address a "condition related to moisture accumulation in the charge air cooler during extended highway cruising at constant throttle in humid or damp conditions," AN reports, citing NHTSA documents. Furthermore, the TSB outlines details for "reprogramming the powertrain control module with the latest calibration and installing a new CAC and air deflector plate."

Wed, 11 Dec 2013As Ford celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Mustang with the unveiling of the all-new sixth-gen design, one Chicago women can lay claim to a piece of Mustang history. According to CBS Chicago, Gail Wise was the first person in the US to buy a Mustang in 1964, and she did so two days before the car was even unveiled to the public.
Wise, then a 22-year-old teacher, went into the Chicago Ford dealership wanting to buy a convertible, and a salesperson ushered her over to car covered by a tarp. That car was a baby blue Mustang convertible, which she still owns today - along with the documentation. After sitting for almost 30 years and undergoing a full restoration, the car now looks to be in original condition. The report says that this $3,400 purchase could be worth anywhere between $100,000 and $250,000. While this worked out well for Mrs. Wise, we wouldn't recommend anyone going into a dark, back room of a dealership hoping to get a jump on the purchase of a 2015 Mustang.
