Marietta, Georgia, United States

For sale by private owner: 2004 Volvo XC90 T6, 140k miles

Features / Options:
  • Navigation
  • 3rd row seating
  • Running boards, skid plates
  • Towing package (2" rear hitch)
  • Rear AC controls
  • Power folding mirrors
  • Heated, powered front seats
  • Wood steering wheel
  • Xenon high intensity (HID) headlights
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Integrated child safety seat (center rear seat)
  • 18" alloy wheels
  • Headlight cleaners
  • Auto wipers (rain-sensing wipers)
  • Rear audio controls.

It's "fully loaded" except it does NOT have a DVD player in the rear. We get a realistic 21mpg highway, around 15mpg in the city.

Black exterior with tan interior. Some wear on front driver's seat (still wonderfully supportive), front armrest (see pics), and some stains on the carpet. NOTE: I just ordered a replacement driver's seat; will update pictures when it's installed.  Driver's door has a shallow dent (see pics).  Title is clean with no wrecks. Non-smoking owner. Two master remote keys, one master non-remote key, and all manuals included. Pre-wired for SiriusXM radio (antenna is run outside, with dongle inside glovebox).

No errors in message center. Starts reliably and drives very smoothly down the road! We have records for the timing belt (done around 100k miles) and the transmission work (very important on these XC90s that it's been done!).  Fluids are changed yearly.  Most recent maintenance includes the 150,000 mile maintenance, done early to prepare it for sale -- includes drive belt, spark plugs, filters, and fluid changes. I've already taken it through emissions and it has a passing certificate, ready and waiting for the new owner. Title is clean and clear. Selling because we purchased a newer one.  Also offered for sale on Craigslist in Atlanta; if it sells locally I will attempt to end the auction early.

If you'd like to fly into Atlanta I'll be happy to pick you up at the airport for free.  In addition, I may be able to deliver it for the price of gas and a return rental car, as time permits.  Please don't hesitate to call or text me, (626) 592-9163, if you have any questions.

How does a massive Volvo truck compare to a Koenigsegg on a track?

    Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Volvo Trucks thinks that its latest FH semi truck has a little sports car DNA mixed in with the ability to haul heavy loads thanks to its novel dual-clutch gearbox. And the company's marketing department certainly has an intriguing strategy to get the word out about the big rig's sporty traits. First, it staged a prank on an unsuspecting valet on the Italian Riviera, and now the FH has lined up a track battle around the Knutstorp racetrack against Sweden's ultimate supercar - a Koenigsegg One:1.
Fifth Gear host Tiff Needell takes the reins of the big Volvo and spends a little bit of time talking up its I-Shift Dual Clutch gearbox. However, the real fun is seeing the FH taking on the One:1. Of course, a head-to-head battle would hardly be fair against these extremely mismatched opponents. Instead, the challenge is for the 1,360-horsepower Koenigsegg to lap the track twice in the same time or less than the semi can do it once.
You just have to watch the video to see how if the big rig rises to the challenge. Also, scroll down to read Volvo Truck's press release touting the new gearbox, and check out the company's YouTube channel for more views of the race and a behind-the-scenes look.

Volvo Concept Estate is a brown shooting brake, need we say more?

    Wed, 26 Feb 2014

Set for a debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show next week, images of the Volvo Concept Estate have found their way onto the web courtesy of Jalopnik. If the Concept Coupe from Frankfurt were a modern P1800, the Concept Estate is a modern P1800ES.
We briefly detailed the finale to Volvo's trio of concept cars earlier this week, when images of it poked out finished in a custom car cover. Now, with a batch of uncovered images at hand, we're able to see just how pretty this brown beauty really is.
Below the beltline, this is pretty much the Concept Coupe, featuring the same T-shaped headlights and wide, rectangular grille. Above the beltline, though, things get fun. The long, glass roof terminates in a squat, wide rear end which is set off by a pair of meaty haunches. The taillights, meanwhile, expand on the style shown on Volvo's Detroit concept, the Concept XC Coupe. And that hatch opens up into a rather cavernous rear end.

Volvo confirms return of the wagon with V60 headed to US

    Wed, 27 Mar 2013

Turns out that promised new production Volvo model for the United States is indeed the V60 wagon, as we had previously predicted. And it's not terribly surprising, as Volvo has a long and storied history of wagon sales in the US, from the old, loveable 240 to the more recent high-performance V70R. And yet the automaker hasn't had a proper non-XC, non-crossover-style wagon in the US since it pulled the V70 away at the end of the 2010 model year.
"The new Volvo V60 is for people who want the handling of a dynamic sports sedan but need the versatility of a wagon," says Volvo, highlighting the reason many of us on the Autoblog team harbor such fondness for wagons in general.
Volvo is currently showing off the R-Design package for its entire model line, including the V60, at the New York Auto Show. We don't know for sure if the V60 will launch with the R-Design package or if it will come at a later date, and we also see no mention of a Polestar edition, though we're hopeful.
