2006 Volvo XC90 2.5 L Turbo AWD 86,??? Miles Power Everything including Heated Leather Seats, Sunroof, and a 6 disc in dash CD changer with premium sound system.
This XC90 was in a accident when I bought it I had a local garage fix it and have been driving it ever since. Please remember it is a 2006 model and will not look like it just came off the show room floor. There are a few VERY minor stone chips here and there on the hood. Overall on a scale of 1-10 I would say the exterior and interior are both at 8.5.
There are 4 BRAND NEW tires on it. The oil was just changed recently with full Synthetic oil and all other fluids were checked. My wife and I have driven this to downtown Detroit MI from here in Johnstown PA and have had no problems. Like I said before this is one of my daily drivers when I don't take our truck. That is why I am selling it we have 3 other vehicles and do not need this anymore.
The XC90 's 2.5 L Turbo is the same motor in the S60 turbo models and this thing can fly if you need it to. One of the best motors I have owned to back that statement up my wife and I just got a 2014 Volvo S60 with the 2.5 L Turbo Motor. I like to call this XC90 my Swedish Snowmobile as it drives like a champ.

Volvo shows off 345-hp S60 and V60 Polestar
Thu, 06 Feb 2014We showed you the hot, new Volvo V60 Polestar a few months back and raved about the fact that this long-roofed family car can hit 60 miles per hour in just 4.9 seconds. Now, we're seeing it and its four-doored brother, the S60 Polestar sedan, in person for the first time.
As we told you when the V60 Polestar was unveiled, both cars are motivated by a 3.0-liter, turbocharged six-cylinder that generates 345 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, with peak twist arriving between 2,800 and 4,750. Power is channeled to a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system via a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and launch control.
Both Polestar models benefit from a suspension that features Öhlins shocks, while they ride on 20-inch "bespoke" wheels. Six-cylinder Brembo calipers clamp down on 14.6-inch rotors in front, meaning these Volvos should come to a stop as quickly as they get going.
Volvo studying test of electric roads in Sweden
Tue, 27 May 2014Volvo already announced the results of a study of wireless charging using a stationary C30, and now it's embarking on a more ambitious study of wireless charging involving moving city buses. Next year, in conjunction with the Swedish Transport Association, Volvo will build a section of electric road up to 500 meters long that would use inductive charging to refill the batteries while the bus drives over it.
Right now, the company's Hyper Bus diesel hybrid has to stop to plug in and charge at the end of its route. The company is looking for a way to keep buses in service while being able to run on electric power for greater lengths of time. The new line used for the study will be called ElectriCity, and will come online in central Gothenburg sometime in 2015. There's a press release below with more information.
Volvo denies boss Jacoby is taking a run at Opel CEO post
Tue, 07 Aug 2012It seems that every news report that involves the name "Opel" is eventually followed by a report that says, "Uh, never mind." Executives fill positions, then they're gone, or they're supposed to fill positions but duck out before doing so, five-year product offensives turn into grabbing for life preservers, and turnaround plans are followed by... new turnaround plans. With the recent departure of Opel CEO Karl-Friedrich Stracke, Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri reported that Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby topped the list of candidates to sit in Opel's very hot seat.
Volvo spokesman Stefan Elfstrom has piped up to say "Mr. Jacoby is fully occupied with running Volvo and has no plan for leaving his present job." Stranger things have happened, though, and who knows what the truth is, but we have to admit we'd be surprised if Jacoby jumped off the Volvo express - recently given an $11-billion boost by parent company Geely - to take his chances in the Opel maelstrom.
So Opel's search for a CEO continues. At least we have the Adam to look forward to.
