This Volvo runs and drives very well; the Volvo has had a rebuilt engine some 37000 miles ago. The car now has about 151000 miles on it which is still very low for a Volvo Diesel. It has all recent belts all around this is a rare as it gets, it is a 1985 Turbo diesel wagon. I have had much recent work done to it. And comes with many recent parts including tires, new exhaust system, The body is clean with one problem; the tailgate has a dent take a look at the photo. I have the car on the road, and it has been on the road all the time, it just passed NH inspection. As nice as I think it is it is a used car and it is almost 30 years old, please keep that in mind and ask as many questions as you have come see it drive it make sure it is what you can use you can drive this car to your home, it runs and drives very well, it just passed the NH state inspection and has been checked for all functions, and if it needed any thing they have replaced so it should be redy to go any distance you need it to go. Volvo to complete concept car trilogy in Geneva
Tue, 11 Feb 2014Volvo went through some doldrums around the same time it was bought by Geely, but it proved that it was back when it unveiled the P1800-inpsired Concept Coupe last August at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It followed up with the sleek Concept XC Coupe crossover (pictured above) in Detroit that echoed the next-generation XC90. Now, the Swede is readying one more concept to bring the trilogy to an end, and act as the centerpiece of its display at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
There are no images of the new concept yet, not even a teaser, but Volvo says that like the other two, it's designed by Thomas Ingenlath and shares common design elements. Since it has already imagined a future coupe and crossover, maybe the concept is a sedan. Volvo has confirmed that it rides on the modular Scalable Product Architecture platform that is being used on multiple future production models and uses its new Drive-E four-cylinder engine family.
The Concept Coupe and Concept XC Coupe will be on display with the new concept in Geneva so that visitors can get a complete idea of Volvo's future. Volvo brings a whole new 2014 showroom for Geneva's approval
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Sometimes it takes smaller automakers a bit longer than the industry average to rotate and freshen their product lineups. Volvo has taken a big swing for the 2014 model year in that regard, and has brought along a full product portfolio of new cars.
In the main, this means that the Swedish brand has fast-tracked facelifts for its already-attractive assemblage of sedans, wagons and crossovers. Volvo mainstays S60 and S80 have both gotten appearance modifications to freshen them for dealer lots, as well as added features inside the car. We're particularly happy to report that the spirited "60 cluster" models - S60, V60, XC60 - can now be had with optional paddle shifters on new, three-spoke steering wheels.

Volvo studying test of electric roads in Sweden
Tue, 27 May 2014Volvo already announced the results of a study of wireless charging using a stationary C30, and now it's embarking on a more ambitious study of wireless charging involving moving city buses. Next year, in conjunction with the Swedish Transport Association, Volvo will build a section of electric road up to 500 meters long that would use inductive charging to refill the batteries while the bus drives over it.
Right now, the company's Hyper Bus diesel hybrid has to stop to plug in and charge at the end of its route. The company is looking for a way to keep buses in service while being able to run on electric power for greater lengths of time. The new line used for the study will be called ElectriCity, and will come online in central Gothenburg sometime in 2015. There's a press release below with more information.
