Up for auction is a 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser. This freshly restored vehicle comes out of the stable of Classic 4x4 Co in Las Cruces NM, who specializes in FJ-40's. This FJ-40 has spent it's entire life of the Beautiful Southwest, where the climate is hot and dry. The Drive train starts with the original 6 cylinder engine, that runs like a top. It has a 3 speed transmission that goes through all the gears with no issues. The exterior has been stripped down to bare metal, where there lie a completely rust free body. The body was then painted back to its original color. The interior has been completely redone, and is in the condition it was when it rolled of the show room floor,it still has the original Am-Fm radio, and rear heater. The Suspension has a 2.5 inch Pro Comp lift, which includes, Shocks and Springs. The Tires are Brand new Mud Terrains, and complete that perfect stance, that is not to big. These Toyota Land Cruiser's are getting hard to find, and are highly collectable, especially in this condition. 2014 Toyota Camry to get 'significant' attention?
Sun, 24 Nov 2013With competition from Ford, Chevrolet, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda and Nissan mounting, Toyota is getting set to unveil a refreshed version of its Camry sedan a mere two years after it was fully redesigned.
According to a report from Bloomberg, Toyota's move to freshen the still young Camry comes as it seeks to retain its US sales crown in the midsize segment. That desperation has lead to increased incentives and fleet sales in a bid to keep its title, all while trying to keep pace with a slew of very competent competitors.
"It's safe to say we'll be doing something with it," Bill Fay, group vice president of the Toyota brand in the US, told Bloomberg during last week's LA Auto Show. "We'll be paying significant attention to Camry next year."
GT Academy returns, and why Gran Turismo 6 demands a pedal/wheel setup

It requires starting early, with karts, and then building up through the years and if you're really, really good (and really, really lucky), a team will notice you and sign you up. Or, you know, you could just become really good at Gran Turismo, and beat out other like-minded fanatics for a seat in the GT Academy.
The racing school, which culls its students from the ranks of Gran Turismo players has already pumped out successful racers, most notably, Lucas Ordoñez, who has a second and third-place finish under his belt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With the 2014 GT Academy kicking off April 21 and running through June 16, you could have a chance to be the next Ordoñez.
That won't be easy, though. We recently had a playthrough on GT6 the proper way - with a racing seat, pedals and a steering wheel, complete with column-mounted paddles. (Our setup looked just like the one you see above, though that image is from E3.) In other words, it was as close to driving an actual car as most console games can get.
Toyota Camry, Honda Civic inventories mounting as US automakers make inroads
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Two of the hottest-selling cars in America aren't quite as hot as they used to be. The Toyota Camry and Honda Civic are both seeing dealer supplies increase in the face of renewed competition from the much-improved Detroit Three.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the Camry's dealer inventory is 15 days higher than its seasonal average, while the Civic is 25 days above average. Things aren't expected to get better for Toyota and Honda, as RBC Capital Markets analyst Joseph Spak marked the two Japanese offerings as "at risk for reduced output."
The Detroit Three, meanwhile, are seeing supplies dwindle as demand increases, especially for the Ford Fusion, which has seen an 18-percent increase in 2013 sales, and the Chevrolet Cruze, which was second only to the Camry in June 2013 sales.
