Bone stock Samurai.  No rust or body cancer.  Bought and used for hunting over the years.  I randomly "discovered" what a long wheel base Samurai was when I was surfing the web one day.  I just HAD to have one, learned they are EXTREMELY rare --- so I stretched mine.  The body work is first class all the way.  The rockers are boxed, professional welds throughout, seem sealed, under carriage is coated.  I found the original long wheel base chassis diagram online (anyone can - simple Google search) and stretched the frame to that specification (14 inches between the wheels and 10" onto the rear end).  Where I stretched the frame was before the rear spring perch, so the entire rear spring perch frame/setup is untouched.  Meaning you can bolt a YJ kit right onto it.

The brake lines, fuel lines, drive line ---- all stretched.   Engine has the following: New Clutch, new pressure plate, new pilot and throw-out bearings, new front and rear main seals, new plugs, new fuel pump.  The motor runs great, ZERO leaks, Zero smoke.

Has Sidekick seats - no rips or tears - very comfy.

The Samurai was *never* meant to be a show rig, etc.  I am just some random guy that had a strong running Sami for deer season and got completely infatuated with making my rig into into a long wheel base.  Was easy and a lot fun.  I plan to sell this one and do some more of them.  My car background is with VW vans.

PLEASE - serious buyers only --- there is a LOT of info online that has been posted over the years on how to stretch a Samurai.  If I wanted to talk about stretching I would be on the Pirate or ZukiWorld forums.

Suzuki calls in 26,000 Daewoo-built Veronas for overheating lights

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

Suzuki is recalling yet another Daewoo-built model due to possible problems with the daytime running light module in the instrument panel. This time it covers about 25,899 units of the Suzuki Verona from the 2004 through 2006 model years that need fixing. Like the repair campaign of the Forenza and Reno in May, it's possible for the part to overheat, melt and potentially cause a fire.
According to the Chronology of Principal Events section in the defect notice submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, this recall was actually a direct result of the Forenza/Reno campaign. After finding the problem in those vehicles, General Motors Korea started investigating for more affected models and discovered that the Verona was also at risk. However, the report says that no cases of melting or fires have been found in the Verona.
Obviously, Suzuki will be notifying affected owners and will replace the DRL module free of charge. Scroll down to read the recall request or check out the full defect notice in PDF format, here.

Volkswagen drops "GTi" lawsuit against Suzuki

Tue, 02 Oct 2012

Way back in 2004, Volkswagen took umbrage with Suzuki being granted permission to use the nameplate "SWIFT GTi" for a performance variant of its small-car offering (2012 equivalent seen here). Now, eight years and surely some very steep legal bills later, VW has finally dropped its claim against Suzuki.
The General Court of the European Union stated, back in March of this year, that Suzuki's GTi registration could not be confused with VW's "Golf GTI." Volkswagen had appealed that ruling, though has now reportedly called off the dogs. In fact, Germany's Die Welt reports that the appeal has been dead for several weeks now.
This news comes amongst continued arbitration acrimony between the two automakers, all revolving around VW's forced divestiture of nearly 20-percent stake it purchased in Suzuki some two years ago.

Suzuki recalling 23k GSX-R750 and GSX-R1000 bikes to replace chain adjuster

Sat, 18 Oct 2014

Suzuki is known for having a pair of very capable sportbikes in its GSX-R750 and GSXR-1000, but now the Japanese company is recalling 23,073 of them in the US to replace the chain adjuster. Specifically, the campaign affects 2011-2014 model year versions of the 750 and the 2009-2014 1000.
According to documents from The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the problem can occur if riders miss a gear while upshifting. It's possible that the following shift might put enough added strain on the drivetrain to move the rear axle. This can damage the left-side chain adjuster. If there's too much harm done to the part, then the chain could potentially slip off the bike, leaving the powerless bike more vulnerable to a crash.
To fix the problem, Suzuki dealers will "replace the left-side adjuster with an improved part" that will be heat-treated to be stronger. Scroll down to read the full recall report.
