1992 SUZUKI SAMURA WITH REMOVABLE HARD TOP!!  This is a  nice vehicle and runs well, has 4 new Goodyear Wrangler Tires, It travels through Snow Well, and has been very dependable. Since I have had it I have installed and new fuel pump, front brakes and right front rotor. Interior and dash are all in good shape all guages, turn signals and flasher work.  The vehicle did have rust repair on rocker panels that appears professionally done. i have put in better pictures so you can see the nice job done. The paint is in good shape too. I also have the soft top and hardware for it. Mechanically the Suzuki is fine and is not throwing leaks all over the Garage. I truly like this vehicle and the reason I am selling it is I have to do some repairs to my house and this will help get them done. As far as things that are bad about the Suzuki, the radio needs to be replaced It is not working however it was a cassette and most folks would replace it anyway, Oh it does not have a rear seat I never pursued it because I like have the space oh and it does not have A/C . One side note the top along the edges shows tape, the reason for this is since I have the soft top I choose not to glue the rubber top seal to the windshield frame so I would get some air noise. The tape just prevents this. You could secure the rubber gasket if you wanted. I just like the being able to use the soft top too!   Based on the age there is no warranty expressed or implied.     There is a $300.00 DEPOSIT DO AT THE END OF THE AUCTION (NON-REFUNDABLE)  I accept Cash, or Cashiers Check once cleared.  Buyer is responsible for shipping or any other additonal fees.  Would like the vehicle picked up within 7 days of auction close and including balance of bid.  Please ask questions, I will try to share with you what I know.

Mitsubishi CEO vows to stay in US on heels of Suzuki's departure

Wed, 07 Nov 2012

By now, you're surely aware that Suzuki is pulling out of the US market. It was a bit of a foregone conclusion to most who've been paying attention to the automotive realm, but it still sent a small shockwave through the industry. And one of the most oft-heard retorts goes something like this: "Next up: Mitsubishi."
It's easy to understand why many question Mitsubishi's existence in the States. After all, now that Suzuki is gone, Mitsubishi is the Japanese automaker with the fewest sales in America. Furthermore, the automaker's market share has dropped from .7 percent to just .4 percent after seeing sales fall 29 percent to 50,103 units through October.
In any case, Mitsubishi fans needn't worry. Speaking to Automotive News, Mitsubishi President Osamu Masuko said, "We have no intention whatsoever of withdrawing from the US market." That's about as clear as clear can get. It's also worth mentioning that Gayu Uesugi was just named chairman of Mitsubishi Motors North America, and his main responsibility will be to revitalize the brand in the US.

Suzuki recalling 200K crossovers over airbag woes

Mon, 16 Sep 2013

Suzuki may not be selling any new cars in the US anymore, but there are still plenty of them on American roads. Nearly 200,000 of those will need to be taken off said roads - for a little while, at least.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for 2006-2011 Suzuki Grand Vitara SUVs and 2007-2011 SX4 crossovers due to a faulty airbag sensor. The issue apparently results from the front passenger-side floor mat causing the Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor to malfunction over time, so whether there's a kid or an adult in the front seat, the airbag could deploy in the event of a crash.
As a result, Suzuki Motor of America is calling in 193,936 vehicles to replace the front passenger-seat cushion assembly. That's a whole lot of cars to recall, but it comes as no big surprise. Owners can expect to be notified in October. Full details in the recall announcement below.

Volkswagen drops "GTi" lawsuit against Suzuki

Tue, 02 Oct 2012

Way back in 2004, Volkswagen took umbrage with Suzuki being granted permission to use the nameplate "SWIFT GTi" for a performance variant of its small-car offering (2012 equivalent seen here). Now, eight years and surely some very steep legal bills later, VW has finally dropped its claim against Suzuki.
The General Court of the European Union stated, back in March of this year, that Suzuki's GTi registration could not be confused with VW's "Golf GTI." Volkswagen had appealed that ruling, though has now reportedly called off the dogs. In fact, Germany's Die Welt reports that the appeal has been dead for several weeks now.
This news comes amongst continued arbitration acrimony between the two automakers, all revolving around VW's forced divestiture of nearly 20-percent stake it purchased in Suzuki some two years ago.
