2010 Subaru Wrx Sti Se, Dgm With Cpo Warranty on 2040-cars
Rochester, New York, United States
I'm the second owner. I picked it up certified from a dealer in PA.
I've done NO performance mods or anything that will impact the warranty.
Since I've gotten it the only things I have done besides washing and
oil changes are removing the tint from the front windows and the
window vent cover things.
Certified Preowned Warranty is 7 year, 100k miles. Can't beat that with a stick. It has ~40k miles on the odo I'm not using it as the DD anymore but I'm also not letting it sit and gather dust. That number will creep up slowly over time. It has 1 season old Continental summer tires on it. I don't drive like a complete arse so they are still very healthy. Comes with: a pile of oil filters. I think I have 5 left. The window vent covers I've removed 1 season old SNOW TIRES. A full set of snows on 17" wheels with TPMS. I forgot the brand but I can check if the buyer wants. If you have a V1, I will leave the wiring harness in place, otherwise I will pull it. It is set to mount above the rearview mirror. Mods: Red tail covers SPT short throw shifter Black side badges Tinted rear windows/hatch RallyArmor flaps Dome/Trunk/License plate lights switched to LEDs Gallery: Full gallery winters: |

Evo shakes down Subaru WRX STI on Swedish tarmac
Mon, 19 May 2014The Subaru WRX STI has never let anyone question its intentions. With a gaping hood scoop up front, massive rear wing at the back and often found with gold wheels spinning all four corners at the ground, there was never anything subtle about this Subaru. The latest 2015 version is made up of many new parts, but the formula certainly hasn't changed. Evo's Henry Catchpole aims to find if it all still jives together on some misty, Swedish backroads in a new video.
Surprisingly, the movie eschews Evo's standard shtick of big, smoky powerslides in favor of a legitimate review of the new STI. However, this isn't Consumer Reports. As the screenshot above implies, Catchpole isn't afraid to chuck the car around a little and put two wheels off the road all in the name of testing the severe sedan's limits. He just puts an equal amount of focus into how it actually drives.
Autoblog's Steven J. Ewing fell in love with the Subie when he did our First Drive. Does Catchpole concur? Scroll down to watch the STI snaking through Sweden and find out.
Subaru looks back on record-setting WRX STI from 2011 Isle of Man
Fri, 27 Dec 2013In what we can only presume/hope is a precursor to the launch of the next-gen WRX STI, Subaru has released three videos now giving us a look back at the history of the STI-badged WRX models. In this third video, Dominick Infante, national manager of product communications at Subaru of America, got ahold of the automaker's 2011 WRX STI that broke records for the Isle of Man TT Challenge a couple of years ago.
In 2011, rally driver Mark Higgins piloted this car to a lap speed record of 115 miles per hour and a lap time record of 19:56.7 around the 37.8-mile course. The race-prepped STI, which Infante refers to as an "STI on steroids," features a beefed-up suspension, a wonderful-sounding open exhaust and the removal of the speed limiter to go with full roll cage and racing seats and harnesses.
Scroll down to see - and hear - new driving footage of this 2011 WRX STI with Infante behind the wheel as well as some race footage from 2011 - including a near-disaster Higgins averted at 150 mph. Also, be sure to check out the previous videos from Subaru for the 1998 Impreza 22B STI and a 2004 WRX STI.
Subaru mulling three-row utility, upscale versions of existing models
Mon, 18 Feb 2013Subaru was one of few automakers whose sales actually picked up during the recent recession. But now that auto sales are back on track (and expected to hit pre-recession numbers this year), Subaru is trying to come up with new products to fill voids in its current lineup. Wards Auto had a chance to talk to Subaru's director-product manager Ken Lin, who indicated that the automaker is planning to introduce new models this year that will help it attract new buyers without alienating current ones.
The biggest void, of course, is a competitive three-row crossover, a role the Tribeca does not fill in one a very popular segment. Lin said that while there's no current plan to kill off the Tribeca, Subaru is looking at creating a larger three-row CUV with more interior space. In addition to to something big, Subaru is getting ready to bring its customers more luxury with new touring models, but does not anticipate going toe-to-toe with Mercedes-Benz or BMW.
By the end of this year, Subaru will be introducing a new hybrid model, although we don't yet know on which model it will be based. What we do seem to know is that the car will get its power from a nickel metal hydride battery rather than a more modern lithium-ion pack for the sake of simplicity. Finally, Lin mentioned a new product being brought into the sports car segment, but while the article takes this as a hint toward a possible BRZ Turbo, it could also be a reference to the next generation of the WRX and WRX STI.
