This car... is an absolute MONSTER. I've had well over 80 STi's pass through my hands, and this is by FAR the most built out of all of them. Everything imaginable has been done to this car, with no concern of money spent. We had the tune put on this car and went very conservative. The car is capable of handling around 40 pounds of boost. It is currently running 22PSI and is *VERY VERY* FAST. All supporting possible modifications has been done, and it would take forever to list everything. I have taken several photos of some of the bigger receipts we have for the car. This is by no means all of  the modifications, just some of the bigger purchases. Although I estimate the total cost of build to be around 35k, it could easily be more. The car remains to be VERY classy and looks terrific. It can also be easily driven like a normal car, and has no drivability issues at all! Often times when you get into a highly modified car there are all sorts of little quirks, or idling issues, or not wanting to drive 'normally' but this car is free from all. We are offering this at an absolute steal. This is not comparable to most any other 'built' STi's that you may see on the market. They went above and beyond with this one!!!

Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.

Subaru provides first glimpse at upcoming Forester STI

Mon, 27 Oct 2014

Have you been patiently awaiting an STI version of the Subaru Forester? Your wait may be over soon, good friend, as teaser images of just such a vehicle have surfaced online.
Set to debut on November 25, the 2015 Subaru Forester STI will reportedly feature more aggressive aero and cooling, upgraded rolling stock and brakes, and Subaru Tecnica International's signature bright-blue paint and red accents.
What we don't know is what will provide the motivation. There's a pretty big gap at present between the 250 horsepower offered in the top-of-the-line Forester 2.0XT and the 305-hp WRX STI, and we don't know where along the spectrum the Forester STI might fall. Nor do we know, for that matter, if it'll be offered Stateside. But we're looking forward to finding out.

Subaru says Forester logs 8,000 JDM orders in first month, 4x expectations

Fri, 21 Dec 2012

The 2014 Subaru Forester is not on sale yet here in the US, but it has been on sale in Japan since the middle of last month. In that time, Subaru says that the 8,149 customer orders it has received have more than quadrupled the original expectation of just 2,000 units.
To go along with these impressive orders so far, Subaru has also provided a breakdown of exactly what initial customers are ordering, and based on the numbers provided, it would appear that early customers are choosing well-equipped models. This includes almost 90 percent of all models being ordered with the new Subaru EyeSight system, and while close to two-thirds of the Forester models are equipped with the base 2.0-liter engine, the turbocharged Forester 2.0XT is the most popular individual trim level accounting for almost 40 percent of the orders out of four available trim levels. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues as more Foresters hit dealers, but this is definitely a good sign for the compact crossover right out of the gate.
There's a brief press release after the jump that gives a full breakdown of customer orders so far in Japan.
