Pearland, Texas, United States

This is one of 1666 made this year on the whole planet Earth, leaving how many coming here in USA and how many left after wrecked and parted out?

Its not going down in value and definitely climbing

I am only selling to get money for my Tax's but do not care if it does not sell.

This car is good enough to drive every day if needed but too collectible to do that. I had this car 3 years and drove it about 600 miles. I have the title as a ONE OWNER , I have not processed it cause I get a state issued tag and do not need the registration so technically you will be second owner.

-------------> *This car is the one with the better Transmission, in 1994 it was a split year for these cause the All Wheel drive was a big problem so they put this FWD in it and no more problems making this a much more desirable collectors car.

INTERIOR, clean!, has one blemish on passenger seat front and a few real small hardly noticeable on rear.

BODY, is clean and straight with door dings on passenger door.

PAINT, Bordeaux Pearl, looks black but shimmers a wine color when Sun is gleaming on it, is shiny, has typical road chips and used car type tiny blemishes,

MOTOR, is clean enough to eat off, very quiet running. No leaks, no problems, will start at any turn of the key.

TRANSMISSION, shifts precisely at every point

OPTIONS, everything works accept driver window, I think its off track, front windshield has a lower very middle crack.

If I sold this car piece by piece it would easily fetch $15000, the glass alone about $2000, just check for yourself, heck just as a business venture you would win for buying to sell parts.

*** If you live out of Texas and need a shipper I will try to help find one, usually about $600 from here to California last time  I shipped. I will help take to a port or shippers address and help load.

This is a good car but I do not give a warranty. *If you live in Texas we will be doing the registration right away

Factory Five's Subaru WRX-based 818 kit now on sale [w/video]

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

The Subaru WRX has always needed a dash more style, and the do-it-yourself carmakers at Factory Five are looking to accomplish a lot more than that with their new mid-engine, rear-wheel drive 818. The sports car started with a contest in 2011 to create the shape for the company's next vehicle, while sticking within certain limits. A designer named Nouphone Bansasi had his entry chosen, and first cars were completed last year.
The 818 is named after its target weight of 818 kilograms (1,803 pounds), and it's offered in two forms. The S starts at $9,990 and is meant for street use, with two seats and a basic interior. The R model for $10,990 is more track-focused and features a tiny windshield and full roll cage. The company claims that complete cars can be built for around $15,000, after factoring in the donor Subaru. Performance is very brisk, with acceleration to 60 miles per hour in under four seconds, according to Motor Authority.
The kits are meant to be something that even a relative novice could put together. All the builder needs to provide is a 2002-2007 Impreza or WRX. The car donates its turbocharged boxer four-cylinder engine, transmission, axles, brakes, steering and other major components. Factory Five supplies the spaceframe, body, suspension, lights, windshield and some interior trim. It doesn't even need paint, thanks to its gel-coated fiberglass body panels. The company also offers a laundry list of options, including carbon fiber aero components, upgraded suspension parts, improved brakes and more. Kits can be ordered in either left- or right-hand drive.

Hi-po Toyota GT86 to get KERS?

Fri, 09 Nov 2012

We happen to like the Toyota GT86 - and, it of course goes without saying that the same applies to the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S, as well - just the way it is. Yes, that includes the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine and its 200 horsepower at 7,000 rpm.
That said, a little extra power never hurt anybody, right?
The most obvious way to add some punch to the GT86 would be with a turbocharger, and that has indeed long been rumored for an STI version of the BRZ. Will Toyota follow suit? According to Top Gear, the answer is no. Says GT86 chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, "I think 300bhp with a turbo and 200g/km of CO2 would be tasteless in this day and age. And a turbo would mean the loss of the GT86's uniqueness." Perhaps a bit harsh, but there you go.

2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid finally adds gas-electric option to the brand [w/video]

Thu, 28 Mar 2013

For a company that does a pretty great job of tying its vehicles to the environment - or, better said, to people who like to actually get out into the environment - Subaru hasn't exactly been a leader in green vehicle production. In fact, it's 2013 and the company is finally releasing its first-ever production hybrid, the XV Crosstrek Hybrid. Tom Doll, Subaru's executive vice president, admitted as much at the unveiling today at the New York Auto Show: "We at Subaru were not the first to market with a hybrid, but we sure made sure we did it right."
That may be, but for now the automaker doesn't want to tell us all the details of how right it is. We do know that the powertrain takes Subaru's 2.0-liter boxer engine and adds in a 13.4-horsepower electric motor and continuously variable transmission. All-wheel drive will be, of course, standard, and Subaru promises the XV Crosstrek Hybrid will offer the "same utility and versatility as the gasoline model," including 8.7 inches of ground clearance. The hybrid does weigh 300 pounds more, though, which required a re-engineered chassis.
The motor can move the lifted Impreza in all-electric mode up to 25 miles an hour (distance not specified). Subaru isn't talking precise fuel economy numbers, either, just that it will be the "most fuel-efficient all-wheel-drive crossover in America" and will unsurprisingly have start-stop functionality. We do hear, though, that the hybrid will get around 10-percent better fuel economy than the standard gas-only XV Crosstrek. The most efficient version of that car, the one with the CVT, gets 25 miles per gallon in the city, 33 highway and 28 combined. Whatever this hybrid XV Crosstrek gets, we expect Subaru'll sell a million in Portlandia. For more, scroll down to watch an official video and read the press release.
