Up for sale is my wife's 2006 STI. First off it's a complete STI conversion. It's also a smoke free car. The person we bought it from put a lot of time and love into this car and we did also. There's 56k on the swap and 76k on the body. The swap is very clean, just look at the pics. There are no flaws, everything on the car works perfect without any issues. There are no check engine lights or sny other warning lights on the dash. Clean and clear NJ inspection. You are welcome to bring a scan tool to check for any codes.This is one of the most fun cars I've ever driven and I had quite a few in my time. Engine and turbo are completely stock. The windows are tinted all around with 35% smoke, AC is fully charged and blows very cold. The paint is in very good condition with the exception of a small ding on the hood. Car has a larger hood scoop for that aggressive look, 20mm hub-centric wheel spacers on the front and 25mm on the rear for that flushed look. Extended lugs, non-recirculating blow off valve, Perrin Cat Back Exhaust system, Perrin Cold air intake, new front and rear brakes, Hid head lights 8000k, yellow fog lights, chin spoiler,rear diffuser,strut tower bar,BC racing coilovers, Alpine CD player with ipod hookup, JL aAudio sub box with kicker amp. They will recommend something bizarre, inappropriately high performance, compromised or utterly impractical for a given consumer's needs, and they'll almost never recommend something that makes sense. And then they'll come up with 3.7 million reasons why the leading vehicle someone is thinking about is a bad choice.
Or maybe that's just what I do.
Regardless, if you poke, prod, bother or just get us drunk enough, eventually you'll begin getting honest feedback. And more than likely, we'll tell you, in hushed tones, about the many virtues of very, very boring cars. We'll talk about why the Toyota Camry is actually a pretty decent purchase or we'll explain how spacious and feature laden the Nissan Versa is.
Subaru BRZ STI teasers added to Japanese website

With those two words, Subaru has officially dropped a confirmation bomb on our expectations for a higher performance version of the much-loved BRZ coupe, known, of course, as the Subaru BRZ STI. Two teaser images are being shown on the Japanese web-side home of STI along with the promise of 'coming soon,' and there's also a rather lovely looking set of twisty roads with the words 'Purity of Handling.'
There's not much we can glean from the two teaser images, but we're expecting an aggressive body package to go along with a significant increase in horsepower from the BRZ STI. We're also not totally clear on what 'coming soon' really means - the auto show season will be kicking off in full swing this fall, and we wouldn't be surprised to see a debut in Los Angeles. That said, you'll know more just as soon as we do.
Ward's reveals annual 10 Best Engines list for 2013
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Ward's Auto has released its annual 10 Best Engines award winners. The 2013 list covers the full width and breadth of the internal combustion spectrum, from a spate of efficient four-cylinders to the most powerful production V8 on the planet. As always, the entries must be available in a production vehicle in the first quarter of 2013 with an MSRP of less than $55,000. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 from the Audi S5 held on for the fourth consecutive year, and BMW earned two spots on the list with its turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder and turbo 3.0-liter inline-six.
Ford pulled in two awards for its 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and and the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 from the Shelby GT500. Honda matched BMW and Ford with two wins of its own. Wards awarded the 2.4-liter four-cylinder from the Honda Accord Sport as well as the 3.5-liter V6 from the Honda Accord. Chrysler, General Motors and Subaru each garnered a spot on the list as well for the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500, the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Cadillac ATS and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder the Subaru BRZ, respectively.
