I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW IN 2009 AND I HAVE BEEN THE ONLY OWNER OF THIS CAR. I AM A PROFESSIONAL SINGLE WOMAN WITH NO CHILDREN. I DO NOT SMOKE AND I DO NOT DRINK COFFEE. I DO NOT HAVE FRIENDS WHO SMOKE EITHER. NO WEIRD SMELLS IN THE CAR. NO COFFEE OR FOOD STAINS IN THE CAR EITHER. I KEPT VERY GOOD CARE OF THIS CAR AND HAD IT KEPT IN THE GARAGE.

I HAVE HAD IT PROFESSIONALLY DETAILED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE LAST THREE YEARS. I HAD AN EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN ON THE CAR WHEN I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW AND OIL CHANGE WAS DONE ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATION AND ALWAYS AT THE SUBARU DEALERSHIP. I ALSO INSTALLED THE AUTOMATIC START IN THE CAR. THAT IS A $500 VALUE TO THE CAR.

THE CAR HAS ABSOLUTELY NO MECHANICAL FAULTS. ALL PHOTOS USED IN THE LISTING WERE TAKEN WITH MY IPHONE TODAY. I HAVE ALSO INCLUDED A VIDEO. AS WITH ANY CAR THAT IS THREE YEARS OLD, THERE ARE LITTLE KNICKS AND CHIPS HERE AND THERE BUT NOTHING MAJOR. YOU CAN COME AND SEE AND TEST DRIVE THIS CAR.

WHY AM I SELLING THIS BEAUTIFUL AND RELIABLE CAR? I RECENTLY MOVED FROM WEST VIRGINIA AND WHERE I AM NOW, I DO NOT NEED AN AWD OR AN SUV. A TOYOTA PRIUS SERVES MY PURPOSE MUCH BETTER BECAUSE MOST OF MY DRIVING IS WITHIN THE CITY. I HATE TO LET THIS SUV GO BUT I KNOW IT IS THE RIGHT DECISION. I WANT A GOOD LOVING HOME FOR IT.

2014 Subaru Forester XT

Hitting The Mainstream Sweet Spot
The Forester does quite a bit of heavy lifting for Subaru. What was once a plucky little all-wheel-drive utility box has matured into a competitive crossover that accounts for a quarter of the company's total sales in the US. With those numbers continuing to swell even in the third generation's twilight hours, engineers and designers found themselves in the unenviable position of being asked to fix what ain't broke. Rather than reinvent the company's workhorse from the ground up, as we say in our first look at the CUV, Subaru honed the Forester to offer better fuel efficiency, more usable space and a more refined drive.
In doing so, the automaker hopes to toe that delicate line between luring in new devotees to the cult of Pleiades and keeping the brand's longtime fans smiling. While the fourth-generation Forester may have lost some of its trademark pluckiness in the pursuit of a more mainstream existence, there's no denying this is a more sorted vehicle than its predecessors. Make no mistake, the 2014 Forester is keen to carve out a larger chunk of the ever-plumping CUV market for itself, and for the first time in its history, it has the muscle to do so.

Subaru revisits 1998 Impreza 22B STI

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

It was 1998 when Subaru made some crucial changes to its World Rally Championship Impreza, such as increasing the displacement of the turbocharged flat-four-cylinder engine from 2.0 to 2.2 liters and fitting wide fender flares. Subaru won the WRC manufacturer championship with the car that year, and it also was the year of the automaker's 40th anniversary. To celebrate the milestone, the company came out with this limited-edition, road-going Impreza, the hallowed 22B STI, which looked nearly identical to the rally car.
Only 424 22Bs were built, and most of them stayed in Japan. But Dominick Infante, national manager of product communications at Subaru of America, was able to secure a drive in one of the only two 22Bs in the US. He details the car's history and some of the design and engineering cues that made the Impreza STI so popular both in motorsport and on the street, but we were caught up listening to the exhaust and admiring the timeless blue-and-gold paint. You should too, so head below to watch the video.

Subaru is America's third most off-roaded brand

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

When you think of iconic off-road brands, where does Subaru fall on your radar? Somewhere in the middle? Perhaps near the bottom? Don't worry, you're not alone. Until recently spending some time in Bend, OR, where we drove the all-new 2015 Subaru Outback, we never really pegged the Japanese automaker to be a highly lauded brand among off-road enthusiasts, despite many of the company's products actually being quite capable when the going gets rough.
But the data says we're wrong. According to a 2013 J.D. Power study, Subaru vehicles have some of the highest use off road compared to other brands - of course "off road" here just means anything not on a paved road, so even gravel trails and tame two-tracks count in these statistics. Nearly 29.5 percent of its cars are used on trails and dirt roads, with only the Ram and Jeep brands besting that statistic, at 30.2 and 31.0 percent, respectively. Said another way, Subaru sold 424,683 vehicles in the US in 2013, meaning that some 125,281 saw off-road use. Mainstream brands like GMC, Ford and Chevrolet all trail Subaru, and even Land Rover comes in at less than 20 percent.
Some 34.7 percent of Outbacks are taken off paved roads, according to J.D. Power data.
