I bought this Subaru six years ago and have driven it every day since then. It has been a highly dependable car and fun to drive. However, I am not very good at fixing cars and this one is requiring more than I can deal with. I am hoping that someone who also loves a Subaru and knows how to work on them will buy it or perhaps buy it for parts.
It did have a collision the first year I owned it, where I was hit on the front passenger's side. The damage was repaired by a local body shop. I backed into another car but only broke the tail light which was replaced.
Last winter, I slid off the road during a snow storm and hit a mailbox with my front light. I have used clear packing tape to hold the housing in place, but the light still works fine.
My abs light has been on for about a year and I have not been able to fix it. I take it to my State's Emissions Station and they pass me temporarily. Was told it might be my catalytic converter.
It starts right up but has been a little sluggish in its acceleration and it sounds a little rougher than it used to.
I had the rotors replaced, had new brakes put on and the tires are fairly new. The air condition runs ice cold and the heated seats are wonderful in the winter.
I am selling this car with NO RESERVE and AS IS.
Please feel free to ask any questions.

Subaru boxers offer a different type of flat-four thrum
Wed, 08 Jan 2014If there's one number you'd associate with the Subaru Impreza, surely it'd be Four. Four generations, four doors, four-wheel drive, four cylinders in a boxer configuration. But in this Japanese market promo clip, Subaru has brought in another kind of boxer: the beat boxer.
Bringing in performers Kouteisennin and Time Machine, along with beat boxers Tatsuya and Rinka, the three-minute video clip below reinterprets the spirit of the Impreza through a mix of interpretive dance and human-generated beats that's rather hard to describe and needs to be seen - and heard. So pump up the volume and click on down below to see this clever and funky video for yourself.
Are you the Subaru WRX Concept for New York?
Tue, 26 Mar 2013When Subaru dropped a hint about bringing an "all-new performance concept car" to the New York Auto Show this year, we immediately started hoping and praying that a conceptual iteration of the next WRX was in the offing. Looks like that might have paid off. While no official word has yet been written or uttered from Subaru, a French website called Blog Automobile has released a gallery of images that would seem to spill the beans about the WRX Concept.
If the leaked images are correct - and they look awfully complete and well done if they're not - WRX styling is taking a turn for the handsome. The sleek sedan in these images has all of the cues that we've come to expect from our rally-ready Imprezas: a dominating hood scoop and very wide stance with beefy wheels, and seems to miss only the rear wing to fit the perfect WRX stereotype. (And, yes, it should have gold wheels.)
There's no press release to be found, but the source is citing specifications as if it knows what it's talking about. We're told that 275 to 300 horsepower are the likely output of the turbocharged boxer four-cylinder engine, and that brakes with ventilated discs and six-piston calipers are there to haul the all-wheel-drive Scooby down from speed. If our earlier reporting is correct, we might expect to find an electric turbo under that imposing hood, too.
Subaru Legacy Concept has us getting our hopes up
Wed, 20 Nov 2013It happens all the time. We get excited about a really attractive Subaru concept, and then the production car comes out and, well, "disappointed" isn't a strong enough word. (Compare that hot Impreza concept to the final production car.) So while we're hopeful that this new Legacy concept previews something sleek for Subaru, allow us to be fully on record as not getting our hopes up.
Anyway, let's talk about how good this car looks. From the front, comparisons to the Buick Regal GS are warranted, but from all other angles, it has a very four-door coupe-like shape. The concept rides on 21-inch wheels with bulging wheel arches that Subaru says hints at the car's all-wheel-drive system (standard Subaru fare, BRZ aside).
As for what exactly this concept previews, the safe guess is, of course, the next-generation Legacy midsize sedan. And while we'll keep our fingers crossed for a sweet-looking production sedan to come out of Fuji Heavy in the near future, it's safe to say we're still skeptical.
