You are bidding on a Porsche 928 built in March of 1979. This car is in nice condition. There were only 1,554 of these 928 cars produced in 1979! Rare 5 speed transmission on this car. Over 70% of these cars were automatic transmissions. 46,473 original miles. The paint, seats, carpet and radio are also all original to this car. Light steel blue color. Runs and drives. Black leather interior. Cruise control. Cassette player works but the radio does not pick up stations for some reason. Door panels are all good. No cuts or tears. Car seats need to be refreshed or retucked. Gas shocks for hood and hatch are strong. Rear hatch wiper , rear defrost, speakers all work. The rear carpet looks faded in the photo but it is not. It's good black carpet. Gear shift leather boot comes loose when shifting the 5 speed transmission but the transmission shifts good. Original rims. Tires are 75% of new tread remaining. Comes with all original tools, extra light bulbs, extra spark plugs all new. Spare tire and jack, and owners manual also included. Engine is clean and detailed. Does not leak oil. Another cool projection vid, this time with a Porsche 911
Fri, 28 Dec 2012Porsche has become the latest automaker to take advantage of clever projection technology. The automaker worked up a quick presentation for the 2013 911 Carrera 4S to show off a bit of "motionless driving." The display tracks the sports car from production to back-road caning and city-center cruising, displaying a variety of exterior color choices and wheel options without resorting to a two-dimensional video.
This isn't the first time we've seen an automaker use its new product as a projection screen. Subaru, Hyundai, Lamborghini and others have all done the same, and the trick never fails to be visually interesting.
As you may recall, we got to play with the 2013 911 Carrera 4S back in November and found the machine to be a better daily driver than its rear-wheel drive counterpart. You can check out the projection video below.
Porsche 918 Spyder already almost sold out?
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Still planning on getting your hands on a Porsche 918 Spyder? You'd better act quickly, because word has it that the hybrid hypercar is nearly sold out.
While Porsche has reportedly only delivered a little over 30 of the 918 examples of the Spyder it plans to manufacture in total, Automotive News says that production is sold out through late March or early April - just a few months shy of when production is set to wrap in July.
That's pretty impressive for a car with a base price of almost $850,000, especially one requiring a $200,000 deposit just to get your name on the list. Still, that sum is significantly less than its competitors get for the McLaren P1 or LaFerrari, both of which sell for over a million (if you can actually get on one at that price), though in fairness, production of each is limited to less than half of the 918 Spyder.
China may surpass US as Porsche's largest market this year thanks to Cayenne
Thu, 09 Oct 2014China has already surpassed the United States as the world's largest automotive market, so it's no surprise that one day soon it will be the world's largest Porsche market.
In fact, that day may already be here, as the PRC's Porschephiles outbought their American counterparts in September. Porsche's Chinese dealers sold 4,344 cars last month to America's 3,607. Through all of 2014 so far, though, the US is still the larger market for the German brand.
"The U.S. performed very well this year, after a great year in 2013, but China is growing fast, thanks to the Cayenne which is our best seller there," Porsche's sales and marketing boss, Bernhard Maier, told Automotive News Europe.
