LOW MILES 62200 original miles!! This car is a classic 1979 Porsche 928, 5 speed V8, with a clear title. Same car that Tom Cruz used in the classic Movie "Risky Business"  Men do look sexy in this car!
The car has never been in an accident, however, it is in need of a new paint job.
The car has been sitting for a year outside, due to title issues. I now have the title, issued by the DMV with a clear stamp. No liens. This car has minor issues, it runs great , starts right up, however it needs a water pump, so it’s not drivable . I just bought it a new battery. I would also check fuel lines, Just to be safe, due to the fact it sat for a year. That is the only mechanical issues. The interior is original and not to bad, needs some cleaning and some fixing in some places where carpet and lining has been pulled back. Definitely workable. This car was custom ordered and shipped over from Germany. One owner before me. It as a wide body with lots of custom parts and factory Items, like built in radar detector, power windows ETC. This car is fast and sweet!  It is NOT like the others ON LINE!  It is a 5 stick standard transmission!!  Not automatic!  The tires and wheels are by " Imola Design ", Forged one piece custom made rims, purchased for 5000,00. with low profile Tires. even comes with spare. You may find another Porsche, but you won't find this one! It's rare due to the age 79 and  5 speed plus low miles! If you can't afford to paint it, you should be looking to buy a Porsche!
Call me if you are interested in seeing it. Debra 757 822-8538

This is a cash and carry!!!!!! No sending a shipping company, no Scammers, don't even waste your time, I've heard them all before!  no solicitation!!!

Leno buys classic Porsche 356 Carrera 2, seeks out and finds perfect expert for help

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

The world of collector cars is fairly tight-knit when you get down to individual models. Need proof? Just take a look at this latest video from Jay Leno's Garage. The subject is a gorgeous 1963 Porsche 356 Carrera 2. Jay, being known as quite a collector, got a call from someone looking to sell. While doing his due diligence and looking for a 356 expert to go over the car with him, he came across John Willhoit.
Where the story gets weird is when Leno is asked the license plate number - it turns out that Willhoit, owner of Willhoit Restorations, had restored the exact same car more than 30 years prior. He then sold it to the same person that was looking to give it to Leno. What follows is a truly interesting video on the little quirks of the 356, along with Willhoit's personal history on a car he hadn't seen since 1976.
This is a bit more mechanically detailed than Leno's normal videos, but it's on a very interesting subject. Take a look below for the entire film.

Porsche board members facing another ˆ1.8B lawsuit over VW takeover bid

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

Back in 2008, Porsche got the bright idea that it could take over Volkswagen in the midst of the worst economic slump since the Great Depression. Ignoring that this was a catastrophic move for the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer that that eventually resulted in it nearly going bankrupt and eventually being taken over by the same company it sought to control, the aftermath has left Porsche Chairman Wolfgang Porsche and board member Ferdinand Piëch in the crosshairs of seven hedge funds that lost out during the takeover and are now seeking €1.8 billion - $2.43 billion US - in damages from the two execs, according to the BBC.
See, investors bet on Volkswagen's share price going down, partially because Porsche said it wasn't going to attempt a takeover. But Porsche was attempting to take over VW, having bought up nearly 75-percent of VW's publicly traded shares. When word broke that Porsche owned nearly three-quarters of VW (which indicated an imminent takeover attempt), rather than go down like the hedge funds bet it would, VW's share price skyrocketed to over 1,000 euros per share, according to Reuters.
Naturally, when you bet that a company's share price is going to drop and it in turn (temporarily) becomes the world's most valuable company, you lose a lot of money, unless you're able to buy up shares before prices jump too much. This led to a squeeze on the stock, which the hedge funds accuse Porsche and Piëch (who are both members of the Porsche family and supervisory board) of organizing.

Porsche testing new 911 GTS

Wed, 28 May 2014

Porsche may have one more vehicle in its stable with the GTS moniker, if these spy shots are any indication. They show off the presumed 911 GTS lapping the track - the model meant to slide in under the GT3 to be a bit more driver-friendly but still very fast alternative to a stock Carrera.
At first glance, it might look like any other 911, but the devil is in the details. The most obvious among the differences are two centrally mounted exhaust outlets, rather than the ones closer to the corners on most of the current models. They also aren't perfectly in the center like the GT3. The taillights are also somewhat thicker than the current ones, and the rear decklid is split into three exposed sections.
This is the third time we've seen the presumed GTS. The first was as a coupe late last year. Then it showed up again in March testing in convertible form. Although, that version also sported fender vents at the rear.
