This is a near flawless, 98% new looking, 2006 997/991 Porsche cabriolet.

No issues what so ever. This was a FL car, and garaged here in Kohler, WI since it came up to the snow country...which it has never seen.
Many parts have been upgraded by me to look like a 2010 model, and thus, the car looks flawless.

You can see from the photos, it has a custom rear wing ($1,780) I had fabricated in Fresno, CA. Likewise, it has side ground gear ($850), a front spoiler ($520), the new LED tail lights ($850), LED front fog and turn lights ($425), clear side markers, a new windscreen ($375), new front windshield ($1,000) to make look new, recently tuned up w/ sparkplugs and wires ($875) and new tires ($1,400). Brakes are good. Front bumper was repainted 2 seasons ago to match new ground gear... and looks flawless ($1,300).

There are I think 3 small stone chips now over the car, very small, and the car is near flawless. This car is a 9 on a 1-10 scale. It smells and looks new. It runs at a 10.

3.6L H6 SFI DOHC, 6 Spd Manual, 325 hp @ 6800 rpm, just about 90,000 miles, Rear Wheel Drive,
Guards Red, Sand Beige leather interior, 4 way Heated Seats/mirrors, 1 touch power windows, leather gear shifter, Bose audio (impressive), integrated phone system, rain sensor wipers, Navigation, cruise, AC, Power top (like new), cool front cup holders that hide into dashboard, anti-lock brakes, Security system, power heated mirrors, etc. etc. etc... I have one key and the manual. Fully Detailed and in showroom condition. 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and car looks like it has 9,000 miles on it, despite the 90,000.

Gemballa reveals new Porsche 991-based GT convertible

Sun, 16 Sep 2012

Gemballa went through the ringer last year, but rebounded with products that signal a complete turnaround. The latest is the recently-released Porsche 911 Carrera S with a Gemballa GT aerodynamics and technology package. Aero-wise, it includes carbon fiber additions beginning with a front bumper wearing the classic Gemballa air intake design and a lower, angrier splitter. New side skirts run from wheel to wheel, the final piece being a rear bumper in three sculpted horizontal sections featuring a rear diffuser tucked between six rectangular exhaust tips.
No engine mods have been made, but the technology part of the tune - springs that are 30 millimeters shorter yet still able to work with the PASM system - is claimed to make the car faster. Bringing things to a halt is a new Brembo brake system hiding behind 21-inch GForged wheels that are lighter than Porsche's standard 20-inchers.
The Gemballa GT aero kit runs €19,860 ($26,070 U.S.), which includes paint and installation if you happen to be in Germany, and we're assuming that includes the suspension modification, brakes and sport exhaust. The GForged wheels are another €9,895 ($12,989 U.S.) depending on your choice of tire. Check out the press release below for more info, and the photo gallery above for all the angles.

Porsche 911 RSR in bizarre, terrifying rally crash

Sun, 22 Sep 2013

As far as rally crashes go, this one is pretty terrifying. At this month's Hellendoorn Rally, Harry Kleinjan failed to negotiate a turn and drove his Porsche 911 RSR straight into a Jersey barrier, flipping the car into the river.
While it's unclear what caused the accident, German Car Scene notes, "We can see his brakes locking up ahead of the impact, which also ripped both driver's side wheels off, so it may be a case of ill-judged late braking, locking brakes or a jammed throttle." Us? We're betting it might have been bad pace notes. Fortunately for Harry and his co-driver, all indications are that no one was hurt. Check out the videos below to see the spectacular crash for yourself.
