There were only 309 Turbo look Cabs made in 1987 which makes this car very Rare and Collectible. These Air cooled cars are rising everyday in value and this is one to own. It just had a major service and needs nothing. The black paint is excellent and is all Original. The under carriage is Spotless and show's nothing rusty.
The Interior is Champagne and It's Brand new. Original Carpet, New Original Mat's, New Original Leather seats that are dual power. The top is also brand new and its Black . Power top works perfect and has no latches it's 100 % automatic. When you open the door it smells like a new car and looks like a new car. The dash is Pristine with no warping or cracking . The door panels are also pristine . There is not much to say other then the interior is Pristine and new in every way.
Inside the car you will find everything to be working properly. Both power seat's work, Original radio with cassette . Cruise control . Power top and windows all work perfect. Ice cold Ac and hot heat.
Mechanically she is a Gem. The car just had over 5 k in service. The valves were adjusted , New 134 Ac compressor ,dryer and expansion valve. Its ice cold I replaced the Oil hoses on the engine to sum pump and also new lines to the Condensor .The front suspension is all new . Ball joints , sway bar links etc. The Brakes are cross drilled rotors and they stop this car on a Dime. The tires are in great condition and sit on Beautiful Original Fuch wheels with a Chrome lip.. The car drives very well and pulls hard through all 5 speeds with ease. The Clutch was replaced less then 2000 miles ago. The suspension feels very tight and this car handles like a 911 should. It has a nice tone from the exhaust and the Special Order Fitipaldi Steering wheel makes it truly exciting to hold on to. I have the Original one and its Brand new. The Dealer installed the Fitipaldi at time of Delivery. These are numbered steering wheels and very rare. I would drive the car anywhere. She is ready to go and needs nothing. All fluids were just replaced as well .

Porsche Museum highlights history of the 911 RSR

Sat, 12 Jan 2013

Porsche has amassed quite an impressive trophy case in just about every racing series it has ever entered, and one of its most dominant machines has to be the 911 RSR from the 1970s. Taking part in various GT-class competitions, the 911 RSR managed to take home three international and seven German victories in 1973, its very first year of competition.
Not one to downplay its racing successes, Porsche has released an informative video detailing the 911 RSR's impressive heritage. The 1973 RSR model owned by the Porsche Museum is detailed beautifully on video, and we have to say it looks absolutely stunning in its vintage Martini Racing livery.
Have a look at the video below for some historic racing action, along with static shots of one of our favorite Porsche models ever created.

Porsche 911 RSR in bizarre, terrifying rally crash

Sun, 22 Sep 2013

As far as rally crashes go, this one is pretty terrifying. At this month's Hellendoorn Rally, Harry Kleinjan failed to negotiate a turn and drove his Porsche 911 RSR straight into a Jersey barrier, flipping the car into the river.
While it's unclear what caused the accident, German Car Scene notes, "We can see his brakes locking up ahead of the impact, which also ripped both driver's side wheels off, so it may be a case of ill-judged late braking, locking brakes or a jammed throttle." Us? We're betting it might have been bad pace notes. Fortunately for Harry and his co-driver, all indications are that no one was hurt. Check out the videos below to see the spectacular crash for yourself.

Porsche celebrates 5M Facebook fans with crowdsourced one-off 911

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

Porsche's Facebook fan base appears to be accelerating as quickly as the cars it builds. The German automaker has just unveiled a special 911 Carrera 4S designed with crowdsourced input as a way to thank its five million Facebook fans.
The 911 features special Aquablaumetallic paint from Porsche Exclusive, contrasting 20-inch white Carrera S wheels and pinstriping, along with an aero package including a fixed rear wing. Inside, there are unique backlit sill plates and the obligatory dashboard engraving that says "Personally Built by 5 Million Porsche Fans."
As a way to turn at least one virtual thumbs up into its more meaningful physical-world equivalent, Porsche is holding a contest to win the chance to drive the car at Britain's Silverstone racetrack - and bring a friend - and nine lucky runners-up will win 1:43-scale models of the 911. If you want to enter the contest, click here.
