Offered here is a clean 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa for consideration. The car comes with a squeaky clean CarFax, 95k original miles, and all service records dating back to the original sale. It is finished in the original Grand Prix White color over a burgundy leather interior. 1984 marked the first year Porsche introduced its legendary air-cooled 3.2L horizontally-opposed flat 6-cylinder engine to the 911, replacing the 3.0 liter SC - an increasingly collectible car.

Noteworthy features include a fun-shifting 5-speed transmission, rear-wheel drive, removable Targa convertible top, white Fuch wheels with Pirelli tires, signature whale tail, "Carrera" floor mats, spare tire with air compressor and tool kit, Blaupunkt stereo, power windows, upgraded exhaust, owners manuals, and several sets of keys. This raw-powered Porsche doesn't burn or leak oil and produced no smoke on start-up, which is common to most models. It is a beautiful, well-maintained/performing German sports car worthy of any enthusiast's attention. More pictures available upon request.

Porsche releases new images of LMP1 racecar

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

Porsche has released another batch of images of its LMP1 competitor preparing for its debut season in 2014. This isn't the first we've seen of the new car, as June saw four images of the new racer undergoing testing. Where those images looked merely like someone taking pics during the test, the 11 new images seen above have all the hallmarks of highly polished PR shots.
That aside, the camo-covered cars still provide another look at what the new LMP1 car will look like when it arrives next season. The taillights follow the example set by Audi, by vertically mounting ultra-thin LEDs on the tips of the rear wing, while the LED headlights sport the four-prong look that Porsche has been pushing of late. Besides those two items, its difficult to make out many details due to the amount of camo.
Porsche's LMP1 effort will be focused on the FIA World Endurance Championship, which will see the revered brand return to the top flights of the 24 Hours Of Le Mans with F1 ace Mark Webber behind the wheel. As we've mentioned before, the German brand has set up a dedicated microsite that will cover its newest racer's progress.

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet spotted testing in the nude

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

The Porsche 911 wouldn't be the Porsche 911 unless there were twenty-something different models to choose from (note: we are not complaining), and the latest one was just spied by our trusty photographers out on Germany's Nürburgring. Feast your eyes on the 911 Turbo Cabriolet - the droptop version of the new Turbo wonder that debuted in May - looking all sorts of stealth in its black-on-black-on-black prototype scheme.
Mechanically, the 911 Turbo Cab should be identical to the fixed-roof version, meaning a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six engine will live in the car's rump, putting out something like 520 horsepower. Of course, there's also the hotter Turbo S version of the coupe, and we expect that to get the droptop treatment, as well, with 560 horsepower on tap. The added weight of the folding top and additional structural supports will likely make for slightly slower 0-60 times for both cars, though considering the base Turbo will hit 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds, "slower" is a very relative term indeed. All that force will run to the ground via all-wheel drive, managed by Porsche's seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
The wide stance of the 911 Turbo Coupe carries over to the Cabriolet, no doubt fitted with the same (standard) 20-inch wheels. Inside, the usual luxury amenities will be on hand, along with nearly endless customization options.

Porsche 911 already testing next refresh

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

The latest Porsche 911 may still be a newer car, but that hasn't stopped the German company from starting development of a facelifted version of the rear-engined sports car, testing in what looks like southern Europe.
Due to hit the market in 2015, our spies think what we're seeing here is the new GTS variant, which, following the evolution of the last-generation 911, will make its debut on the facelifted car. Featuring the wider rear haunches of the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4, the GTS should enjoy a slight power boost, to 408 ponies.
Aesthetically, there are some additional vents in the rear bodywork, along with a revised front bumper and tweaked day-time running lights. The taillights get some attention as well, and will likely grow over the current car's skinny rear lamps.
