PORSCHE CARERRA
911 SC 1983
Selling my 1983 Porsche. Car is Black on Black. All Black interior with cream color carpet, and black headliner. Seats were redone less than 6 months ago. Paint is less than 2 years old. Has one small dent in rear and no scratches.
THE TITLE FOR THIS VEHICLE IS A NON SALVAGE AZ TITLE
I have a clean AZ Title for this car it is a "Non Salvage Title" . Car has history of accident in another State like 20 years ago with Salvage Title on Car Fax. Ebay told me they will cancel the auction if I do not list Salvage Title. I was told because of the vehicle history.
Car starts right up every time. Very Strong motor. I drive it at most, 10 miles a month just to keep the motor hot and battery charged. It has a small short which drains the battery so battery is always off unless I am driving it. My Son and I have owned the car for over 9 years. It is always kept in garage and barely driven. I have 2 other Porsches and several cars wife says I have to sell 1 of them. Just passed AZ Emissions last month.
Car is Dark Black with black interior and black painted Porsche Alloy rims. Leather interior, not cloth. No tears in interior or in headliner. Has Alpine CD Player. It's a 5 speed. Tried to get A/C working with new compressor and hoses still has a very small leak. Whale Tail is in great shape. Has 4 brand new tires, plus another bonus pair of new front tires. I have some service records from Stugarts Southwest in AZ.
The car is in very good condition has minor issues:
Emergency brake does not work, windshield has a crack in it, A/C will not hold charge. Rear shocks going out on whale tail when looking at motor. Passenger window only rolls down with passenger door switch not drivers. Electric mirrors do not work. Wipers do not work. Horn is not attached to custom steering wheel. Leaks a little oil now and then. Speedometer works just for MPH. Mileage is not accurate.
This car is far from perfect I understand that. It is a very nice PORSCHE and looks great. I hate that I have to sell it. I have way to many cars, "ACCORDING TO MY WIFE". I will answer any questions, and send any pictures. I want to the person who buys this car to not have any surprises or be disappointed in anyway. I cannot cover everything in this description. As you can see from my Feedback I am very reliable. I only put the car on ebay got tired of dealing with all the Craigslist Flakes that want a $45,000 perfect Porsche. My car is not that car.
PLEASE ASK ALL QUESTIONS UPFRONT
Please inform me if I listed anything wrong or missed anything
BUYER is responsible for shipping of vehicle. I will fed Ex Title once payment has been received. Will take cashiers check or money Order will wait until it clears. I would prefer Bank to Bank wire transfer.

Porsche offering short-term loans to Macan waitlisters
Wed, 02 Jul 2014Walk into a Porsche dealer today, place an order for a Macan and you'll be looking at a waiting period of six months or more before you can expect delivery. That may be common enough for high-end European automakers, but the Macan is meant to lure new buyers to the brand, and the waitlist could be enough to deter them from sticking around.
The solution? Offer to lease them a Boxster or Cayman until their new Macan arrives. Shorter in term that the usual new-car lease, these six-month terms are designed to keep buyers from turning their backs, all the while experiencing the kind of vehicle Porsche does best.
Of course it doesn't hurt that the dealer then gets a used sports car to sell again once the short-term lease is up. And we wouldn't be surprised to see some buyers asking to hold on to their mid-engined sports car for a little longer, either.
Porsche drivers escape this horrific VIR crash unscathed
Mon, 07 Oct 2013There is no doubting the fact that it takes nerves of steel to be a racecar driver, but the same can also be said for motorsports photographers. Case in point: The American Le Mans Series Oak Tree Grand Prix at the Virginia International Raceway where two Porsche 911 racecars crash hard into the tire barrier, but the dedicated cameraman stays with the shot - diving away only at the last second just as the battered No. 31 car (shown above) comes to rest atop the tire barriers just feet from where he was standing.
The crash occurred when the two Porsches charged hard into a corner. Judging by the video, the white No. 48 car appears to not see the orange No. 31 and the two cars make contact, skidding off track hitting the tire barriers at a high rate of speed. Both drivers walked away from the frightening crash, but the video - posted below - shows just how bad things could have been. Hopefully the close call will serve as a lesson for the woman standing in the track marshal's post who has her back to the racing as the two cars barrel directly toward her.
Porsche 918 Spyder to birth stretched 2+2 version?
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Porsche is known for its ability to spin off a litter of variants from a single model, and according to a report in Automobile the 918 Spyder (pictured here) might not be spared the house trick. Having taken too many brains and too much money for too much time, company chiefs are said to be examining ways to get more for their development euro out of the supercar, and Plan A is apparently otherwise known as Plan 984. That would be a four-seater, rear-wheel drive supercar that uses a stretched mold of the 918's carbon fiber tub, keeping the V8 in the same mid-mounted place and costing around 350,000 euro.
That would be less than half the MSRP of its inspiration, but the details don't sketch out a car that's just half as good. Automobile speculates it would get something like 700 horsepower in order to best the coming 911 GT2, and about 440 pound-feet of torque. The 984 is quite a ways short of being confirmed; even though a full-size study is said to exist, it's like the 918 would need to become a bigger sales hit for the 984 to happen.
The 984's fortunes don't change those of the 960, the supercoupe Porsche is building to challenge Ferrari. Its potential specs haven't changed since the last report in January, power coming from a 5.0-liter, twin-turbo, eight-cylinder boxer engine with something like 650 hp pushing a curb weight of roughly 3,100 pounds. The means a suspected 0-to-60 mile-per-hour time of 2.5 seconds.
