175,000K Original extremely well maintained miles. In this final iteration of the 1978-1983 series was the introduction of the brilliant 3.0 liter 911SC Porsche now finally mated a body that was capable of lasting indefinitely with an engine that was capable of lasting nearly that long. If you know these care you know that this engine is only at its half-life as Well maintained 911SCs are capable of 300,000 miles between rebuilds. Power was up too from the 2.7 liter 911 although not by an enormous amount and the SC is good for a 0-60 run of about 6.3 seconds.

This car is also a much harder to find Custom Factory RUBY Red (not the standard Guards Red but a deeper more rich red paint) is in extremely good condition as well as the full Leather Interior showing very little wear for its age.

True 2 owner car with 2nd owner fully documented ownership history back to 1986 on its current 2nd owner.  The car has been Stored for many years in controlled environment and just pulled out of storage for sale, a true “Barn Find” you might say.  All that was needed to put this classic back in tip top daily driver condition was a new Battery a Nice Remote Keyless Entry/Alarm system from Autopage in perfect working order and a set of Front Hood Dampers which are now installed.  There complete history set of service and Maintenance records dating back to date of purchase from the Original owner all the way back in 1986!  This is an unmolested very well maintained and hard to find classic the only things missing from as original are the stock wheels which were stylishly updated with 16inch staggered set of Aluminum alloy Epsilon two piece wheels sporting Goodyear 225/50ZR16 Eagle GS-C performance tread in the rear with Goodyear 205/50ZR16 Eagle GS-C in the front

The car is even Factory A/C equipped and has the original dark brown color match Porsche factory floor mats sitting on top of very good condition original factory carpet set.  All gauges and electrical in working order.

Factory Power Windows and Power Mirror Options and now with the updated remote Power door locks and a nice set of the optional Fog/running lights and even the original Factory Window tinting in great shape. All Door and Window seals intact and in very nice shape.

The Power Sunroof has new water tight no leak seals and trim (after all this is Seattle and it rains a lot)

The Audio System was heavily upgraded with best available components in the mid 90’s with Infinity Rear Deck Speakers and Kicker Punch front door speakers mated to a Clarion DB175MP CD Player fitted to a Tried and True 10 Disc Kenwood KDC-601FM CD changer which sits under the hood and has a display readout on the dash and full featured hand held remote to control you music selection.  The sound system is very clean and clear and packs a lot of power.

This is truly a time capsule find that would make a great daily driver!

Chevy Corvette Stingray defeating rivals where it matters most

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

Everything is coming up roses for the award-winning Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, as new data from the North American Dealers Association dissected by GM Authority reveals that America's sports car is handily outselling two of its more expensive rivals.
Through June of 2014, the NADA notes that the Corvette has rung up 17,744 sales, handily besting the Porsche 911 and positively spanking the SRT Viper. Of course, you're sitting there thinking, "Corvette is outselling the much more expensive Porsche and Viper. Sky blue, water wet." But what's impressive here is just how thoroughly the Chevrolet is beating its two rivals, with this data serving as a testament to just how popular the seventh-generation sports car has become.
So far this year, Porsche has managed to move 5,169 911s, according to NADA. Considering that the base model starts at nearly $15,000 more than the most heavily optioned Stingray, and that Porsche owners have a vast, expensive options catalogue to select from, Stuttgart's sales are still plenty impressive in relation to the nearly 18,000 Corvettes sold.

The Bearable Lightness Of Being
Start with a standard Porsche 911 Carrera and its 350-horsepower, 3.6-liter flat six-cylinder engine. Bore a crepe-thin slice of aluminum from each cylinder to get to 3.8 liters, add a wider track out back and two extra exhaust pipes and voila, you can append an S to the Carrera's name. Hang two sets of wet, multi-disc clutches along its spine and you can make that a 4, or a 4S. Bolt on two forced-induction compressors and piping, add two fender vents and comically wide rear tires and you've redeemed your ticket to a Turbo. Increase the boost pressure and swell the corral to 560 horses and you have the Turbo S, which is the Virginia Slims of the 911 line-up because it's come a long way, baby.
Or you can go in a different direction. At that second stop, grab the 3.8-liter and cart it over to the engineers at Porsche's development center in Weissach, Germany. If racing were meat, they would be among the alpha carnivores. The baseboards in their homes are probably painted with miniature billboards for motor oil and vintage cigarettes along the straights, red-and-white stripes around every corner.

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet spotted testing in the nude

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

The Porsche 911 wouldn't be the Porsche 911 unless there were twenty-something different models to choose from (note: we are not complaining), and the latest one was just spied by our trusty photographers out on Germany's Nürburgring. Feast your eyes on the 911 Turbo Cabriolet - the droptop version of the new Turbo wonder that debuted in May - looking all sorts of stealth in its black-on-black-on-black prototype scheme.
Mechanically, the 911 Turbo Cab should be identical to the fixed-roof version, meaning a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six engine will live in the car's rump, putting out something like 520 horsepower. Of course, there's also the hotter Turbo S version of the coupe, and we expect that to get the droptop treatment, as well, with 560 horsepower on tap. The added weight of the folding top and additional structural supports will likely make for slightly slower 0-60 times for both cars, though considering the base Turbo will hit 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds, "slower" is a very relative term indeed. All that force will run to the ground via all-wheel drive, managed by Porsche's seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
The wide stance of the 911 Turbo Coupe carries over to the Cabriolet, no doubt fitted with the same (standard) 20-inch wheels. Inside, the usual luxury amenities will be on hand, along with nearly endless customization options.
