For Sale 1969 Pontiac GTO. Judge cloan but true 1969 GTO. Automatic with PS and PB. Body is solid with only minimal surface rust , painted about 10 years ago but garaged all but 3 months after being painted so still has nice gloss. Have all the paperwork from Pontiac historical society. Engine runs strong and transmission shifts true. Interior in good condition with no major tears or cracks. Could use a good cleaning from years of storage. Car was purchased in 2004 with intentions to restore to like new condtion but time has gotten away from me and now after a divorce I am forced to sell it. The hood tach is not connected so I do'nt know if it works, the car leaks around the front windsheild molding after I wash it so those seals should be replaced as well as the trunk lid seals which look in perfect condition but if you pull up on them you can notice rust setting in where the water pools.I am selling the car AS IS with NO WARRENTY stated or implied. With 6 other cars I do'nt have the time nor energy to dedicate to this true classic and therefore this short list of its history and condtion is about all I know of the car. The car was last registered in 2004 in New York where I lived only until recently and in NY a pre 1970 car does NOT get issued a title by the DMV so even though I own the car clean and clear there is no title. I do have the registration which I was told if taken with a bill of sale should be all you need to recieve a title if your state issues them for older cars.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?

General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile
Sun, 29 Apr 2012Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
