For sale is my LS1-swapped 1989 Formula 350. I have owned it for about 3 years, it has 157,876 miles on the body, about 90k miles on the LS1/4L60E and 10k miles on the performance parts listed below. A brief description of the car: Engine/Drivetrain: LS1/4L60e from 2001 Camaro, Ported TB, LS6 intake, custom CAI, custom tune. 3.27 9-bolt posi rear from 1989 GTA. Speartech wiring harness with functional OBDII port in factory location, all factory gauges operational. Racetronix 255lph fuel pump and hotwire kit with Aeromotive AFPR mounted in engine bay. Exhaust: Stainless Works headers with 1 3/4 primaries, 2.5 collectors and custom y-pipe, 3 Hooker exhaust, no cats. Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes
Thu, 10 May 2012When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
GM issues four new recalls, 2.4 million cars affected

1,339,355 - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia models from the 2009 to 2014 model years; Saturn Outlook models from the 2009 to 2010 model years

Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
