1994 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Coupe 2-door 5.7l on 2040-cars
Hudson, New Hampshire, United States
This is a really clean absolutely rust FREE Trans Am. 350 cubic inch LT1 motor, automatic transmission, Runs drives and shifts excellent. Has HyperTech Chip so it has some extra "go". Air conditioning blows cold, power windows, no rips or tears in interior. paint is very nice, No signs of rust, no bondo, no rust underneath. Certainly does not look like a NE car. Tires are in good shape. I would suggest you can drive this car home as far as you need to! call with questions 603-930-5657 or email. I am trying not to store it this Winter so you have a great opportunity to buy this car way under value.
On Nov-24-13 at 15:13:01 PST, seller added the following information: The reserve is the same number as the year of the car, 15 watchers that think a rust free Trans Am is going to sell for around $1,000?? I'm confused. |

Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later
Fri, 12 Sep 2014
Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?

General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
