Introducing the redesigned 2014 Nissan Rogue. From a striking new front end, to the muscular arches, along the flowing new character lines, and over the aerodynamic wraparound taillights, the all-new 2014 Rogue has been completely redesigned. Rogue serves up a stylish first impression with its signature standard LED Daytime Running Lights. Available class-exclusive LED headlights flow into sculpted, muscular fenders to create an unmistakable presence. Drive it, and youll find its also incredibly smart. Wind tunnel testing developed aerodynamic panels around the rear pillars that sweep the breeze away, and a low aerodynamic underbody, even the muffler gets its own spoiler. The revolutionary results: an impressively quiet ride and a best-in-class 33 MPG. The Rogues redesigned interior features chrome accents, available leather seats, soft-touch materials, a seamless fit and finish, and an ambience that you just dont find in this class. With room for an object around eight feet long, Rogue gives you possibilities you never knew you had. The clever split-folding 2nd-row seat lets you mix cargo and friends, giving you the option of 70.0 cu. ft. with you and a friend or 39.3 with the whole gang. Need to transport more than 5 people? Not a problem as the Rogue has available 3rd row seating by way of 50/50 split folding seats. The 2.5L 4-cylinder engine maximizes efficiency and performance providing up to 33 MPG Hwy, the best in its class. The PUREDRIVE badge also means that Rogue meets or exceeds the industry-average US Federal CAFE standards for model-year 2016. Available features include the optional NissanConnect system serving up hands-free phone and texting, streaming audio, navigation, and a lot more on a 7 color screen, a class-exclusive 4 camera Around View Monitor, Forward Collision Warning system, Lane Departure Warning system, and Dual Zone Climate Control. Nissan GT-R drag races Swiss fighter jet
Thu, 09 May 2013Proving that speed is fun in any language, Nissan's German arm recently pitted a GT-R up against an ex-Swiss Air Force fighter jet, called the Hawker Hunter. Now the idea of a car-versus-plane drag race is nothing new, but this is the first time we can recall a GT-R being involved.
While this Nissan video is almost a month old, we're pretty sure you won't be disappointed by the action, which shows the two high-speed machines racing along the two-kilometer runway. We don't want to ruin the suspense, so scroll down for the latest matchup of sports car versus fighter jet.
Nissan Cube dead for 2015
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Another class cut-up has graduated from our motor pool. The Nissan Cube's indefatigable weirdness was likely both its chief selling point and its Achilles Heel, but Autoblog sources say that after a six-year run in the US, the niche player has been scrubbed from the Japanese automaker's lineup.
The move is hardly unexpected - there was confirmation from Nissan Canada that it was pulling the plug on the asymmetric little front-driver in its market back in May, and sales have not exactly been sparkling here in the States, either. In June, Nissan shifted just 336 Cubes, down 23.8 percent year over year. So far this year, Nissan has sold 2,294 units, a sales pace off 30.9 percent versus 2013. At its peak in 2010, the Cube remained firmly a niche vehicle, selling 22,968 units.
Nissan North America's Dan Passe, senior manager of product communications, maintains that "We are continuing to sell the 2014 Cube and we haven't made an announcement about future model plans," but Autoblog sources indicate that an official announcement will be coming in the next couple of months, and the Cube has been conspicuously left off of an exhaustive 2015 lineup "Charting the Changes" announcement released on Tuesday.
Nissan hopes to inject some spice into Rogue with 'Open The Briefcase'
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Nissan is in the midst of rolling out the redesigned 2014 Rogue and has launched an interesting social media game called Open The Briefcase. The video that launches this game depicts a simple ride-share gone very wrong, with a man getting embroiled in a high-speed chase in a bid to escape with a strange briefcase. Eventually, it all goes haywire, and the man and his driver are captured. The only question seems to be, what's in the briefcase?
The contest, which asks participants to select one of three briefcases by cracking a code, is set to reward three individuals with a new Rogue. New attempts can be made each day, and participants can get additional chances to open a briefcase by sharing the video. The contest kicked off on January 3 and will run until February 14. Hop over to the contest page on Facebook to take part, or just watch the video below and enjoy a bit of entertainment.
