Selling my 2003 Nissan Maxima GLE

PRICED TO SELL!!! NO RESERVE !!!

I bought this from the original owner when I worked at Nissan, so I am the second owner and all of the services were done at the Dealership.

The GLE is the top of the line trim package, with factory HID headlights, full leather, BOSE audio, heated steering wheel, heated driver's and passenger seats, memory seats.

The 2003 is the last year they all were made in Japan and this is the year with the 3.5 Liter motor that's the same as the 350z and the Murano, so it has that sound as well as the good transmission unlike the 2004-2006 or the CVT transmissions in the 2007+

The services were done at the dealership as well as the 100,000 mile tune up with spark plugs etc and also has original nissan front struts done around 80,000.

It has brand new Nissan front brake pads, a new power steering high pressure hose, a new radiator as well as new radiator fans. The car doesn't need anything other than tires in the near future.

I upgraded the factory Bose stereo system which cost $1,400 and I have the reciept, to a JVC double din head unit with blue tooth for phone pairing, digital box so all the factory steering wheel buttons control everything, all new door and rear speakers as well a Phoenix Gold amplifier and 12" subwoofer with encloser all professionally installed by World of Sound in West Palm Beach, FL.

It also has professionally installed 20% window tint.

I didn't modify anything else on the car except put a K & N air filter on it to improve the sound and performance. I still also have the factory complete air box and all that as well.

It's an awesome and reliable daily driver with every option available including a sun roof and the nissan sun roof air deflector so you don't get that annoying sound while driving when it's open.

It has ice cold AC with the digital climate control and every option on the car is working wonderfully.

These are one of the best cars ever made and this is the best and most desirable year Maxima.

I'm not interested in trades, sorry

Local pick up is preferred however shipping can be arranged with the buyer

Priced to sell and well worth it. It's a very clean, reliable, and well maintained car.

2013 Nissan e-NV200 taxi will carry Catalunians quietly beginning next year

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

The Nissan e-NV200, currently in the final phases of testing with FedEx fleets in various countries, will be getting more demanding cargo next year in Barcelona when it goes into service as a taxi. Unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show by Carlos Ghosn and with the mayor of Barcelona, Xavier Trias, in attendance, the e-NV200 is the van slightly reworked into a unique design and resting on a Leaf electric powertrain.
The NV200 van is built in Barcelona, and when the electric version goes into production there next year it will begin its public beta will as part of a set of initiatives the Spanish city has for zero-emissions transportation. Nissan will be helping with the build-out of infrastructure such as charging stations, while the city elders get to work on allocating privileges and special spaces for the e-NV200 taxi drivers.
After the Catalonian debut Nissan says the electric hauler will make its way to other parts of the world. Nothing's been said yet about whether it will join our combustion-engined NV200 taxis in New York. You can take a look at the fare-driven future in the high-res gallery above, and read more about it in the press release below.

Nissan reveals radical BladeGlider concept for Tokyo debut

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

Radical reinvention of the automobile doesn't happen very often. There's a reason they refer to it as "reinventing the wheel", after all. But that's what a team of racecar designers did with the original DeltaWing concept in 2010. Originally proposed as an IndyCar racer, the project was subsequently redesigned for Le Mans. That's when Nissan got on board, supported the project for a few races, then took the design in its own direction with the ZEOD RC. And now it's taking it to the road... via the auto show.
What we have here is the BladeGlider concept, a proposal for a delta-shaped electric sportscar which Nissan will present at the Tokyo Motor Show in a couple of weeks. Designed to focus on driving pleasure, the BladeGlider is about as radical as they come. Like the DeltaWing and ZEOD RC, it's got a narrow front track and wide rear to minimize drag and optimize stability, packing a 1+2 seating arrangement to put the driver front and center like in a McLaren F1, with upward-swinging doors and underbody aerodynamics to keep it glued to the road. In-wheel motors (of unspecified output) provide the power, a lightweight lithium-ion battery (not to mention the carbon-fiber bodywork) keeps it all fearther-like, and weight distribution is heavily biased towards the rear at 30:70.
A radical concept, to be sure, but here's the kicker: Nissan wants to build it. As you can see from the press release below, the BladeGlider "is both a proposal for the future direction of Nissan electric vehicle (EV) development and an exploratory prototype for an upcoming production vehicle". While it would undoubtedly take some time to develop, much less certify for road, seeing one of these - or even better, driving one - on our favorite stretches of tarmac strikes us as a prospect worth waiting for.

Datsun's lackluster initial sales fall below Tata Nano

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

When Tata introduced the Nano back in 2008, everyone was amazed at how cheap it was. They called it a game changer, but no game was changed. In fact, it took Tata five years to sell the 250,000 units it had the capacity to build in a single year. As it turns out, even buyers in what economists call "developing markets" like India aren't necessarily interested in buying an ultra-cheap automobile. And now it appears that Nissan may be falling into the same trap.
A little over a year ago, Nissan revived its old moniker Datsun to serve as a budget brand - similar to what ally Renault did with Dacia. Its lineup (consisting of models like the Go hatchback, Go+ minivan, On-Do sedan and Mi-Do hatch) is largely based on old architecture, packaged with little more than basic equipment and sold at rock-bottom prices. But Bloomberg reports that, even in the brand's core markets like India and Indonesia, the new Datsuns haven't been selling.
According to local industry figures, Datsun has sold fewer than 10,000 units of its $5,100 Go hatchbacks in India since its introduction back in March. Maruti Suzuki, by comparison, sells twice that many of its similarly priced Alto hatchbacks every month. In fact, after peaking in April, Datsun only sold 607 units in India this past July, dipping 77 percent to drop below even the number of Nanos which Tata sold that month.
