This truck was my father's and he is the original owner. I purchased it from him to send my son to college (last month), and it just sets in the dorm parking lot, as he rides his mountian bike and walks most everywhere. I have been associated with this truck it's entier life and know its entire history. It has spent its life in the hands of a 60 yr old man and has never pulled a trailer or been beat on in any way. It does show some minor wear on the driver seat and carpet and the paint has a few very minor dings and scratches from use in the timber. It has NO RUST, or accident history and has been serviced on schedule since new. the only warranty work done was a new drive shaft due to vibration, a few years back. Spray in bed liner is perfect. It has an aftermarket Pioneer DVD player in the dash that my son put in it, other than that, it is unmolested, bone stock. It has about 40% remaining on the Hankook all terrain tires. Comes with all factory documentation, including the window sticker. It is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with no warranty, implied or written. Buyer assumes ALL shipping arrangements and costs. Nissan Rogue Detour uses Google Maps to go create virtual test drive from your doorstep
Thu, 06 Feb 2014The best way to evaluate a new car before you buy it is to test drive it. All of the specs and reviews in the world cannot communicate how a car suits you as well as a few minutes behind the wheel. Interesting, then, that according to Nissan, the average buyer spends twice as much time researching new cars online than they do at dealers.
To market its new 2014 Rogue, Nissan has launched an online marketing experience aimed at bridging that gap. Called The Detour, it combines Google Street View and Google Maps to give you a custom-tailored virtual test drive. The neat, uniquely interactive part about Detour is that it allows you to specify a starting and ending location. Thus, you can use the microsite to 'show' the Rogue on your commute, or your favorite stretch of tarmac. To spice things up, Nissan has added some digital effects and set the experience to a song by British rapper M.I.A.
Detour seems to work better on shorter journeys, because it snips out some portions of the route in order to keep the experience from running too long. Nissan reports $4.13B net income for 2012
Sat, 11 May 2013The news for Nissan is good when it comes to the company's results for the 2012 financial year that ended on March 31. Even though the numbers were down in many of the world's major markets, increased sales in the US, Brazil and the Middle East, ten new models and a strong fourth quarter allowed Nissan to hit its target for the year and notch record sales of 4.914 million units globally. On net revenue of $116 billion, Nissan posted net income of $4.13 billion and an operating profit of $6.31 billion.
There are upward-looking projections for this year, Nissan forecasting a 7.8-percent jump in sales to 5.3 million units, with $117.89 billion in net revenue and $4.42 billion in net income. That net revenue number probably won't actually match what's reported next year, though, because Nissan is changing its accounting method and won't include revenue and operating profit results from its joint venture with China's Dongfeng. Net income doesn't change under the new method, but the adjusted net revenue forecast is $109.16 billion.
