VEHICLE TITLES ARE NO LONGER MAILED OUT AFTER LIEN HAS BEEN SATISFIED IN PINELLAS COUNTY.
TRUCK HAS BEEN PAID OFF FOR TWO YEARS AND TITLE WILL BE PICKED UP AT DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN SOLD.

I am the original owner of the vehicle, I purchased the truck new in 2006 at AutoWay Nissan.  The vehicle has been well taken cared of since new.  It has new brakes in the rear and the tires are two years old but have plenty of tread left since the truck is only driven on the weekends.  It also has a fairly new battery and a recent oil change done by me.  Most of the maintenance has been done by me since I like to wrench on my vehicles.  Any major service is always performed by the dealer when needed.  I will be including the original wheels and tires as well.  The original wheels were taken off at the the dealership when I purchased the truck and the wheels that are on the truck now have been on there since new.  I have the original wheels in my house in the storage closet which is air conditioned so they would not dry rot.  The truck mileage has been almost all highway since I used the truck to transport my son around the state for AAU Basketball Tournaments.

The truck has been very good to me but now has to go since I don't get to drive it much.  The chrome wheels on the truck are 24" and made by Baccarat and the model is Phang.  The Phangs were removed because they are plastic and tend to break but I think it looks better without the Phangs much more sporty & classy look. I have pictures of the truck with the Phangs on the wheels.  Also just remembered the truck has a minor exhaust leak that can be heard when first turned on, but quiets down once truck heats up.  This was pointed out by Nissan, during the last recall for the fan on the transmission cooler which was repaired.  I can email more pictures just send me an email thru eBay.

The truck has the following aftermarket items installed:

L.E.D. Tail Lights
Rear Tail Lights Chrome Trim Ring
Custom Badges on Rear Door
24" Chrome Baccarat Phang Wheels
Chrome Door Pillars
Front Fender Port Hole Accent
Front Grill and Lower Grill Billet Inserts
H.I.D Headlights
Blue Interior L.E.D. Lighting
Chrome Tail Gate Handle
Chrome Rear Door Handle Covers

I would put my truck between Good and Very Good based on the selections available thru Kelly Blue Book.  The truck has it's normal wear and tear and paint is in great condition aside from the normal small chips from road debris that hits the front of the vehicle.

37K miles in a 1967 Datsun Roadster

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

When we think of comfy, long-distance road cars, there are a few obvious choices. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Bentley Continental GT or, assuming fuel efficiency isn't paramount, a Range Rover are all good options for a road trip. But what if that road trip was 37,000 miles? Maybe something more reliable but still comfortable, then, like a Honda Accord. What about a 1967 Datsun Roadster?
As insane as it sounds, Scott Fisher is doing just that, running a Datsun 1600 Roadster across North America and racking up 13,500 miles in his first three months on the road. His total journey will see him pile over 37,000 miles on his red convertible. The car is lightly modified, but most of the work is for the sake of reliability and comfort, with a five-speed manual 'box, an upgraded radiator and electronic ignition.
Fisher's trip hasn't been all smooth, with a few typical bits of trouble. He also ran into some deer in Utah, quite literally, clipping one of the animals, which delivered quite a bit of damage to the passenger's front fender (hence the rear three-quarter view in our lead shot). Still, the car seems to be holding up well, as shown in this latest video from Petrolicious.

Infiniti brand will finally make its debut in Japan, but not the name

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

Nissan left the automotive media scratching its collective head when it announced that its Infiniti luxury brand would be renaming all of its vehicles, with cars wearing the Q designation and CUVs/SUVs wearing the QX badge. So the G Sedan became the Q50, and the G Coupe became the Q60. The QX56, meanwhile, became the QX80, and the FX crossover became the QX70. It is still thoroughly confusing nearly a year later.
Not content to confuse its US customers alone, Nissan will be fiddling with the name of one of its most revered Japanese-market models - the Skyline. Rebadged for the US as the Q50, and before that as the G Sedan/Coupe, the new Skyline will wear an Infiniti badge. What makes this truly confusing, though, is that the car won't be called the Infiniti Skyline, despite its badging. It won't even be called the Nissan Skyline, anymore. It's now just the Skyline. Apparently, Nissan thinks it can capitalize on the Skyline's link to the Japanese royal family (the Skyline was originally a product of Prince Motors, which provided vehicles for the Emperor and his family), by ditching any brand names and referring to it as its own model, according to Automotive News.
Now, confusion aside, there are things about Infiniti badging in Japan that make sense. Badging all the Nissans that eventually become Infinitis as Infinitis in the first place goes a long way to make the brand seem separate and distinct from its parent company. Speaking to AN, Infiniti's executive vice president of global product planning, Andy Palmer, puts it this way, "We have to treat Infiniti, if you will, in the same [way] that Volkswagen treats Audi. It's not a Nissan-plus. Infiniti has to stand head-to-head with any of those German competitors."

Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with

Mon, 12 May 2014

Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.
