Statesboro, Georgia, United States

Up for auction is a 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5S with Anniversary Package (includes spoiler, leather wrap steering wheel with audio controls, Bluetooth connectivity, homelink transceiver compass, rear spoiler, 16” alloy wheels, Fog lights.  Also packed in are: External ground lighting and aluminum kickplates.  All these modifications were done at the dealership before purchasing the vehicle and upgraded for my car.  This car has a 5 year/60000 mile warranty so it IS still under warranty.  I have had this car since it was new and it has been amazing.   This car has been FACTORY serviced from day 1.   I was recently given a business car from my job to commute in so I am selling this beautiful 2012 Altima.  This car has had 1 owner and a non-smoker.  I will do my best to accommodate shipping arrangements if you are not local just message me and let me know so we can get a plan together.  This car has a CLEAN carfax and a CLEAN title.  Please have your financing and money ready.  The car must be paid for in full within 5 days of auction closing.

Pictures are as detailed as I could get them and I tried to take them at every possible angle.  The driver side seat has a scuff mark on the leather as depicted in the picture.  The Nissan dealership said it was "wear and tear" but could have been from the seatbelt and said charcoal colored leather dye would fill it back in.  It is around $25 dollars I believe online.  Other than that minor touch up this car is in EXCELLENT shape as seen in the pictures.  Very well taken care of car and always garage kept.  Please do not hesitate to send me a message with any questions.

Thank you,

Will Nissan's Cummins deal upset Ram's marketing mojo? [w/poll]

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

Ram has used Cummins engines in its heavy duty trucks since 1989, and it is the only pickup truck brand to use products from the Indiana-based engine maker. With the announcement that the next Nissan Titan will also use a Cummins powerplant, and a Nissan spokesman having already said "We will definitely leverage the Cummins brand name," a piece in Automotive News wonders whether the deal will affect the way Ram markets its tie-up with Cummins.
The question really is, how intense is this competition? While it is the first time that trucks from two different brands have used Cummins engines, they'll be two different engines in two different kinds of trucks; Nissan is going to put a 5.0-liter turbodiesel in a non-heavy-duty Titan, Ram only uses its 6.7-liter, inline six-cylinder turbodiesel in heavy-duty offerings. The diesel that Ram will offer in its light-duty, half-ton 1500 is a 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel with 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque - compared to about 300 hp and 550 lb-ft expected from the Titan's Cummins - and its marketing so far has focused on the fuel economy gains.
If Nissan was going to prove its commitment to the segment, it had to do something compelling. If we're talking about sales competition between Ram and Nissan, Ram has sold 201,633 trucks as of July this year, up 24.2 percent, 31,314 of those sales coming last month; Nissan has sold 10,020 Titans through the end of July, down 21.1 percent, and just 1,168 in July itself. Nissan's new truck boss - who hopped there from Ram - said that buyers have asked for a powerful turbodiesel in something other than a heavy duty pickup, and from what we've read on various comment boards, the pickup truck crowd is excited about Nissan's move.

Nissan Leaf Nismo RC Concept [w/video]

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

Nissan took the wraps off its Leaf Nismo RC Concept at the New York Auto Show more than two years ago. As inferred, the vehicle shares many of its pure-EV components with the production Leaf currently sitting in your dealer's showroom. But don't assume the concept is a placid, family friendly, four-place, front-wheel-drive plug-in for grabbing groceries - the RC (as in "Racing Challenge") is a purpose-built, two-seat, rear-wheel-drive prototype race car tuned for the short track.
The RC Concept is fitted with an 80-kW AC synchronous motor driving the rear wheels and drawing power from a 48-module lithium-ion battery. While the motor and battery are nearly identical to the consumer-friendly Leaf, a sleek full carbon-fiber monocoque body shell and a slew of other enhancements mean the RC is 40-percent lighter, a foot shorter in overall height and nearly seven inches wider than its commuter namesake. Nissan says the RC Concept will hit 62 miles per hour in about 6.8 seconds, top out at 93 mph and run for about 20 minutes under race conditions (it will accept an 80-percent charge in 30 minutes with a quick-charger). Understandably, if a zero-emissions motorsport series comes to fruition, the races would be short and nearly silent.
We caught up with the Leaf Nismo RC concept in Southern California, where we were offered the opportunity to zip it around a tight autocross at the former Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro.

Nissan Micra gets fresh new look [w/video]

Wed, 05 Jun 2013

Nissan has given its popular Micra a substantial refresh. Completely revised fascias front and rear join small sheetmetal tweaks for an all-new look, and Nissan says buyers can expect to find a host of new technology indoors. That includes audio USB and AUX-in slots as well as a new audio and touchscreen navigation system with a larger display. Designers have also graced the model - known in some markets as the Nissan March - with a revised center console and new trim indoors. Be still our beating hearts.
Under the hood, a supercharged, direct-injection 1.2-liter gasoline three-cylinder engine continues to produce 97 horsepower, complete with a stop/start system that Nissan says helps make this powertrain one of the most efficient in the world. Buyers can also opt for diesel and non-supercharged engines if they so choose.
While periodically rumored, Nissan has no plans to bring the model to North America, but with sales in 56 nations and assembly in four different countries, the little Micra remains a big deal worldwide. You can check out an official video and press release below for more information.
