WE KEPT THE PARTS THAT WERE REMOVED, AND KEPT THEM FOR PROOF OF THE SPECIFIED DAMAGE. THE CAR REALLY SPEAKS FOR ITSELF IN THE PHOTOS, IT IS JUST AS CLEAN, SAFE, AND FUNCTIONAL AS A NEW ONE OFF THE LOT FOR ABOUT A 3RD THE PRICE. AND I AM COMPARING APPLES TO APPLES WHEN I CONCLUDE THESE FIGURES. IT IS A BRILLIANT SILVER METALLIC FINISH, OVER BLACK CLOTH INTERIOR FINISH, THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS A NAVY BLUE, RIDING ON FACTORY SILVER ALLOY WHEELS, AND ABOUT 85% TREAD KUMHO TIRES. THERE ARE A FEW REPAIRABLE TEARS IN THE BACK OF THE DRIVERS SEAT, NOT REALLY NOTICEABLE WITH THE SEATS IN THE DRIVING POSITION. IT JUST HAD A COMPLETE OIL AN LUBE CHANGE, AND HAS HAD NOTHING BUT BP 93 ULTIMATE FUEL SINCE THEY HAVE OWNED IT. IT IS READY TO DROP THE TOP, TURN UP THE RADIO, AND GET SOME MUCH NEEDED WIND THERAPY TREATMENT FROM ALL THIS CABIN FEVER WE'VE HAD !! YOU ARE WELCOME TO SEND WHOMEVER YOU WISH TO INSPECT THE CAR. Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with
Mon, 12 May 2014Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.
Nissan 370Z Nismo freshening coming tomorrow
Thu, 15 May 2014Nissan is set to bring a special to the Fairlady faithful at the annual ZDAYZ fest. Based on the sole teaser and the event it's being unveiled at, it's pretty clear that Nissan is going to be issuing some kind of update to the Nismo version of its 370Z.
What that update is, though, is unclear. We can see a few small visual tweaks, like the horizontal LED running lights and their associated vertical vent. The grille looks reformed as well. Beyond that, though, it looks like we're stuck waiting for the full details until tomorrow afternoon. Until then, take a look below for the world's shortest press release.
Nissan Micra overtaken by bees in England
Mon, 19 May 2014A 20,000-insect-strong colony of bees attempted to turn a Nissan Micra into their new hive on Friday. The invasion happened in the English town of Southsea, a suburb of Portsmouth, and is just one of a few unexpected bee swarms in the country in recent days.
The car belonged to a student, who alerted the local council. A beekeeper was called in to move the colony of European honey bees to a safer location, on the roof of a nearby church, where they can be tended to.
