Up for sale today is a 1988 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. You are looking at an exceptional condition unmolested example of a Z31.
I am describing the vehicle as fully and accurately as possible,I think the pictures reflect the true rust free condition of the car.
You do not see many Z's that are this clean with this low mileage, they are rather rare.

-Low true mileage-80,206 miles!
-Rust free body,wheel wells,tire well
-Starts first time every time
-Original owners manual, etc still with car
-Tires are in excellent shape with plenty of tread left
-Motor has not been modified
-Turbo works smoothly
-A/C blows cold
-Interior is in excellent shape,t-top shade covers also included(in pics).
-Power windows, lights, brake and turn,c/c etc all work as they should.Fog lights too
-Undercarriage is in great shape
-No body work, original paint best I can tell, awesome looking car
-Steering wheel stereo controls all work
-All tools in tool set still there, manual, etc.Good find.
-T-tops do not leak-No,seriously,not at all.

This car I believe lived most of it's life in Florida, then to a garage in PA later in life. Many of the usual problem with the Z's,are not present with this car.
The car is really, really clean from any rust.No body work and I can find no signs anywhere it was ever repainted.I looked for overspray, under trim panels, hood, etc, nothing.
I love this car,why am I selling this car?She wants a new house and some toys must go,I will not sell my motorcycles so I must offer something to the Gods.

I won't be giving this car away, they are too hard to find in this condition. If it does sell I am hoping it goes to someone who will keep it close to original condition and keep it maintained and garaged.

Things that need attention on the car:
-Hood struts wore out, need to be replaced, new struts are included with the sale.
-Carpet in rear hatch has shrunk a little over the years as it does with all of them.
-2 minor dings on hood, small in size like if an acorn hit them.Only visible in certain sunlight. There are some small paint chips throughout the car,but overall looks amazing.
The car is 25 years old
-Slight engine hesitation when cold or sitting at a light in drive.Have not looked at it but noticed it today when driving.

That is all I can think of,please feel free to email with questions.Overall you have an awesome example of a Z31 Turbo ,looks and runs great.
The title is clean and the mileage is true. Please do not email me with lowball offers, this is my fifth Z31,I am well aware of the value.
These cars lasted 200,000 miles without blinking and many went well over 300,000 and more.
The motors are bulletproof(especially an unmolested one).
I tried to take as many accurate pictures as possible, and have described the car to the best of my abilities.
If it does not meet my reserve,I will be keeping this beauty and maintaining her, giving her to my nephew perhaps in ten years.
Good luck bidding.
Please,if you have zero negative feedback or have under 20 positive feedback,or excessive negative feedback,do not bid.Your bid will be removed and blocked.
$500 non refundable paypal deposit due within 48 hours of auction close.
Full payment due in cash or certified bank cashier's check which will be verified.
Buyer is responsible for pickup of car,or any shipping charges that may incur.
Thank you.

Nissan recalls 3,065 Pathfinders for transmission fluid leak

Thu, 24 Apr 2014

Nissan is recalling 3,065 units of the 2013 Pathfinder equipped with the CVT, due to a potential transmission fluid leak. On crossovers built from April 18, 2012 to October 3,2012 "inadequate clamping force" on the hose connected to the internal oil cooler can cause the hose to come loose and let fluid escape. A severe loss of fluid can cause the transmission to stop working properly.
The recall is the result of a safety investigation begun last September, when it was thought a recall could involve 110,000 units of the Pathfinder and Infiniti JX35. Asked for comment about how such a large number of vehicles potentially involved could end up with just 3,065 being recalled, Nissan rep Steve Yaeger told Autoblog that Nissan initiated a service campaign for the issue last year - a service campaign notifies owners to take their vehicles to the dealer for repair of "what is generally not a safety issue" - and that there was a "production improvement" that addressed the clamping issue. The service campaign included the vehicles being recalled, but the recall is limited to just those vehicles that were built before the production-line fix.
Nissan will begin informing affected owners next month, at which time owners can take their vehicles to dealers to have the hose clamp repaired. The press release below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has more information.

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper.
For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011.
The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors.

2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo priced from $149,990* [w/videos]

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

Remember when they called the Nissan GT-R a supercar-slayer? You can drop the "slayer" part, because the Japanese brute known as Godzilla has long since grown from an ankle-biter nipping at the heels of giants to a giant in its own right. And if that's the case with the "basic" GT-R, it's certainly the case with the new GT-R Nismo.
While the base price for the GT-R has breached the six-figure mark, the Nismo version has just been priced ten bucks shy of $150k. Factor in the $1,595 destination charge and you're looking at a $151,585 sticker price. That may seem like a lot for a Nissan, but bear in mind what you're getting for all that scrap: the GT-R Nismo's 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 has been optimized to deliver 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels.
We've yet to see official performance stats, but considering that the base GT-R hits 60 in 2.6 seconds with 55 hp and 18 lb-ft less muscle, the Nismo version ought to teach a lesson or two to exotic supercars costing twice or even ten times as much. Just check it out in the videos and press release below.
