Nissan 300 Zx 1990 T- Top on 2040-cars
Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States
Hi there- up for sale Nissan 300zx this used to be a relatives car... I am regretfully selling it b/c i need some medical - dental work ... at one point i had a folder with approximately $ 10,000 in receipts of work that was done to her, but misplaced them. i will continue to look for them. she stayed dry during last years storm- also - before every storm she was always moved to very high rise indoor garaged parking .
NOTE: it drives yet front trans seal has been leaking - no so much while running - but when i shut it off then alot more runs out - also there appears to bean an issue where reverse is not engaging.. so I have been told that it may need an internal adjustment, or rebuild,.(which incidentally was already done less than approx 1000 miles ago). I have also been told another option is to install a used trans .. there was a salvage yard that was welling one for 295 and another selling one for 500... I have been told that " it is easy to do the swap" the motor is very strong. some clear coat peeling - buffing that out with rubbing compound etc would likely make it look awesome! I have the keys to the t-top also it is a hatchback bose system faceplate on radio is missing- i have seen replacements going for like 20.00 needs TLC email me with any questions |

Google's new Android Autos OS unveiled, will be in cars this year [w/video]
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Connected cars are coming en-masse. We know this much. How, though, remains something of an open question, especially as two of the world's largest tech companies are preparing to battle for control of your car's dashboard. On the one hand, we have Apple and its CarPlay system. And now, we know what Google has been working on with Auto Link.
Its new name is Android Auto, and yes, it's based off the Android architecture that is the primary challenger to Apple's iOS mobile operating system. Announced at Google's I/O conference today, Android Auto functions similarly to CarPlay - owners will need to plug their smartphones into their cars to access the full breadth of capability.
In Android Auto's case, that means a wealth of voice controls to limit distracted driving. Google's marquee apps will be available when the interface arrives in production models later this year, including Google Play Music, Google Maps and voice-activated texting and text playback. Meanwhile, developers will be able to begin designing custom apps for the new system via an upcoming software development kit.
Nissan Rogue, Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 recalled for loose lug nuts
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Nissan has announced a small recall affecting 334 vehicles built just a few months back. 2014 Nissan Rogue and Pathfinder and 2014 Infiniti QX60 CUVs built between March 7 and March 10, 2014 could be susceptible to a loose lug nut on the passenger side wheels.
We shouldn't have to explain why a loose lug is a bit of an issue. Thankfully, it's also a ridiculously easy fix. Nissan obviously recommends reporting to your local dealer - and it will begin notifying owners of affected vehicles - but this is one of those rare recalls that has an easy DIY element to it.
Take a look below for a brief bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Nissan's new GT-R boss says next car will go for more volume
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Since its introduction in 2008, the Nissan GT-R has seen a steady increase of power and price almost every year, but the big news for the next-gen supercar might be an increase in production. Automotive News recently spoke with newly appointed GT-R chief engineer Kinishi Tanuma who said Nissan needs "more of a volume car." Nissan has sold a little more than 2,000 GT-Rs in the US since 2012 - 1,188 last year and 952 so far this year.
Of course, a key limiting factor in the GT-R's production is its hand-built engine. Currently, only four people are qualified to build the GT-R's twin-turbo V6, but Tanuma says a fifth is in training. Even if production numbers are raised, Nissan also wants to add more quality and value into the GT-R. There is still no word as to what kind of timeframe Nissan is looking to start pumping out more GT-Rs, but with a new Nismo model rumored to be bringing a two-second 0-60 time, demand is sure to be on the rise.
