1990 Nissan 300zx Turbo Coupe 2-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Wichita, Kansas, United States
Up for sale is a 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin turbo. Multiple year project. Most of the interior is sound-deadened. It had a brand new candy paint job till a friend pushed on the urethane front bumper and bubbled the paint. Then I had a accident in my garage and messed up one of the quarter panels. Since then I have lost some interest in the car. Many great parts on this car. Very fast! On race gas and high boost it will be over the 500 rear wheel hp range. No air conditioning. Car runs great. I have not even drove it maybe 1000 or so miles since I have had it running and all the new parts on. The cluch maybe not even broke in yet. The whole gauge cluster has been changed which includes the odometer. It is estimated that the car has around 110,000 miles on it. I have about $35,000 invested in this car. I just sits around now and I have moved to other projects. Hate to loose so much on this car but I just want it out or the way and move on. Sold as is! The bad: no ac, aftermarket fuel pressure gauge is flaky, cracked body work on drivers rear quarter panel, paint on front bumper bubbled where pushed on, some climate control functions don't work, stereo not fully hooked up, need new hard pipe couplers($65 fix-dried out from sitting. May be more but I don't remember since I have not messed with car in years besides moving it around out of the way. |

Nissan Canada to end Versa sales with Micra launch
Mon, 24 Feb 2014There's plenty of space in Canada. In fact, with the second largest land mass of any country in the world, Canada has a population density of just nine people per square mile. But apparently there isn't enough room for more than one cheap Nissan in the True North, Strong and Free.
As you may recall, Nissan Canada recently announced it would begin offering the Micra hatchback with a starting price of less than ten thousand Canadian dollars - significantly less than the nearly $12k it charges for the Versa sedan. As a result, Nissan will reportedly cease offering the Versa sedan in new home of the olympic gold medal for hockey.
Apparently the Versa was a slow seller in Canada, a country in which European tastes tend to prevail - particularly in the Eastern provinces - more than they do in the United States to the south. Nissan evidently hopes that the Micra (a model created principally for the European market) will do better than the American-centric Versa ever did there. According to sales numbers cited by Automotive News, Nissan sold barely more than 12,000 Versa sedans and hatchbacks in Canada last year, but over 117,000 in the United States.
Nissan Rogue Detour uses Google Maps to go create virtual test drive from your doorstep
Thu, 06 Feb 2014The best way to evaluate a new car before you buy it is to test drive it. All of the specs and reviews in the world cannot communicate how a car suits you as well as a few minutes behind the wheel. Interesting, then, that according to Nissan, the average buyer spends twice as much time researching new cars online than they do at dealers.
To market its new 2014 Rogue, Nissan has launched an online marketing experience aimed at bridging that gap. Called The Detour, it combines Google Street View and Google Maps to give you a custom-tailored virtual test drive. The neat, uniquely interactive part about Detour is that it allows you to specify a starting and ending location. Thus, you can use the microsite to 'show' the Rogue on your commute, or your favorite stretch of tarmac. To spice things up, Nissan has added some digital effects and set the experience to a song by British rapper M.I.A.
Detour seems to work better on shorter journeys, because it snips out some portions of the route in order to keep the experience from running too long. If you're going to try it out, we suggest using a crosstown journey rather than going cross country. Nissan raises base GT-R price to $101,770 for 2014
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Nissan has announced a few pricing tweaks for the 2015 GT-R, one of which pushes the most basic variant past $100,000 for the first time. The 2014 cost of entry was $99,590, while the 2015 GT-R starts at $101,770.
The GT-R Black Edition, meanwhile, will demand $111,510, up from 2014's $109,300. The GT-R Track Edition retains the $115,710 asking price of the 2014 car. The price increases on the base and Black Edition come with some additional goodies that should soften the blow to pocketbooks, including a retuned suspension that promises a "more sophisticated ride," while LED headlights come standard. Bose Active Noise Cancellation has also been added to the 2015 GT-R, as has a new interior color option on the base model. For a full rundown of new goodies on the GT-R, check out our original post on the 2015 vintage.
Interestingly, the destination charge for the 2015 GT-R has climbed dramatically, from 2014's $1,000 to $1,595 for the latest car. We've reached out to Nissan to see why there was such a big increase, and will update as soon as we have an update.
