FOR SALE  A 1985 NISSAN 300ZX 2+2 129K MILES I HAVE OWNED ABOUT 2 YEARS. AT THAT TIME , IT RECEIVED A TUNE-UP, NEW FRONT EXHAUST PIPE, VALVE COVER GASKETS, FUEL INJECTOR CLIPS, HEADLIGHT , A REPLACEMENT TIRE AND BRAKE PADS.  THE TIRES HAVE TIGER PAWS ON ONE SIDE AND CONTINENTAL ON THE OTHER AND HAS CURRENT INSPECTIONS.  THESE ITEMS WERE NOT BAD INDIVIDUALLY BUT IN ALL SEEMED TO BE KEEPING A REALLY GOOD CAR FROM BEING BACK ON THE ROAD.  FOR A NEARLY 30-YEAR OLD VEHICLE THE CAR LOOKS AND RUNS VERY STRONG AND IT IS TIME FOR ME TO PART WITH THIS GORGEOUS Z31 BODY STYLE DUE TO OTHER PROJECTS.  ON THE INTERIOR THE PASSENGER SEAT IS SEPARATED BUT NOT TORN.  THE HEAT WORKS BUT THE A/C AND CRUISE CONTROL DO NOT.   I HAD THE DIGITAL DASH RE-DONE ALSO AT THE TIME BUT NOT THE POWER SUPPLY.  IT WORKS MOST OF THE TIME AND THE FUEL GAUGE WILL USUALLY COME ON-FLIP ON FOR A LITTLE BIT ENOUGH FOR ONE TO SEE IT. OTHERWISE THE ODOMETER WORKS AND THE VOICE ACTIVATED WARNING SYSTEM WORKS AND THE COMPASS..  THE STEREO WORKS ALONG WITH THE ANTENNA BUT NOT THEW CASSETTE.  I ONLY DRIVE THE CAR 1-2 DAYS PER WEEK, OTHERWISE IT IS ALWAYS INSIDE.  THERE ARE A FEW RUST SPOTS ON THE EXTERIOR AND UNDERNEATH BUT SMALL AND I JUST SANDED THEM DOWN FOR THE TIME BEING.  THE PAINT SHOWS VERY NICELY AND THERE IS JUST A COUPLE HARDLY NOTICEABLE SCRATCHES OR ANYTHING ELSE.  THE TOP OF HOOD HAS A LITTLE BIT OF PAINT FADE.  THE CAR IS RUNNING AND DRIVING FINE,  BUT MY MECHANIC ADVISED KEEPING AN EYE ON THE  STEERING FLUID LEVEL AND THE CLUTCH. I HAVE ONLY BEEN CAUGHT IN THE RAIN A COUPLE TIMES AND THE T-TOP ON DRIVER'S SIDE DID GET SOME DROPS COMING THROUGH.  IF I WERE TO KEEP I'D REPLACE THOSE GASKETS, PAINT THE HOOD OR WHOLE CAR, REPLACE CLUTCH(THEY'RE VERY LOW COST ON EBAY) AND MAYBE LOOK INTO THE A/C.  THE CAR IS DEPENDABLE, LOWER MILEAGE AND VERY NICE TO DRIVE AROUND WITH A NICE EURO GROWLY SOUND TO IT.  SELLS AS IS/WHERE IS (PHILADELPHIA)

GOOD LUCK AND THANKS FOR YOUR BIDS!

Panoz mulls suing Nissan for ZEOD RC's Deltawing likeness

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Imitation might be the sincerest form of flattery, but in racing, where something as simple as a car's shape can lead to a competitive advantage, imitation can be a big no-no. That reality is being played out right now, with the DeltaWing prototype and the Nissan ZEOD RC. The two cars, as you can see from the images above, bear a striking resemblance to each other. They're so similar, in fact, that Dr. Don Panoz, one of the big names behind the DeltaWing program, is assigning some legal eagles to investigate any patent infringement.
The similarity shouldn't be a shock, though. Both cars are penned by Ben Bowlby, and the DeltaWing - which will be arriving as a coupe in the very near future - had Nissan branding and power for a not-insignificant amount of time. But for Panoz, the ZEOD RC's resemblance is just a bit too much, as he told Autoweek, "It's been interesting to watch people from Nissan trying to dodge the question, but the fact is that in their own press release they admit that the configuration of the ZEOD is the same as the DeltaWing. And we do have patents, in fact another one was just issued last week. We are in discussions with our legal advisors and we'll see what happens."
Frankly, it's not difficult to see what Panoz means. The general shape of the ZEOD RC, with its wide rear track and narrow front track arrangement - not to mention the headlights mounted over the rear wheel arches and any arrangements not visible under the body - are so reminiscent of the DeltaWing that differences like the shape of its closed cockpit and more upright front end might not prove different enough to avert Panoz's legal action. We'll stay with this one and let you know as more becomes available.

Nissan teases Sao Paolo CUV concept, production future likely

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

Back in 2012 at Brazil's São Paulo Motor Show, Nissan showed off an angular subcompact crossover concept, Extrem, that seemed to to portend the future of the Nissan Juke. Now, the Japanese automaker is teasing an as-yet-unnamed CUV concept for this year's show. The new showcar, set for an October 28 unveiling, is expected to be a closer-to-production version of the Extrem ethos.
Why should we care? Autoblog has reason to believe that this vehicle is under consideration for global distribution. The production Extrem - or whatever it ends up being called - is likely to be positioned size-wise in between the Juke and the recently upsized Rogue, offering more space and still-adventuresome styling, yet at a less expensive price. If accurate, that sounds like the production model will be a fair bit larger than the conceptual Xtrem, which was built atop a modified version of Nissan's V-platform, a model that underpins its March supermini (and speaking of the March, Nissan has also teased what looks to be a sporty concept version of it for the Brazilian show, too).
It's important to note that Nissan already has a bustling small CUV portfolio globally, what with its popular Qashqai / X-Trail models in markets beyond ours. There continues to be persistent rumors that Nissan is considering bringing over the Qashqai, as well, a model seemingly already quite close in size and execution to the Rogue. Despite this, Nissan has shown no hesitation in exploring every niche of the burgeoning CUV market, and while not every derivative has been a success, models like the Juke have rewarded the company's bravery with handsome sales.
