This S14.5 was built and owned by Injen Technology to promote their Tuneable Air Intake Products & Racing Oil at various Car Shows and events. It still has the owner of Injen's name printed, chrome and polished on the oil drip box. It was one of his company Show Car's for many years and was a "Trailer Queen" and was featured in all of their catalogs and only came into my possession after it was put in the 2011 Movie "Born to Race." One of his team race car driver's begged him to sell it to him for 5 years and Robert wouldn't until after it was put into the Movie. I am the 3rd owner. I got it only because that same driver after owning it for only 3 months ended having a divorce and had to sell all his stuff and some of his cars in order to buy furniture and a downpayment on a new house. No Expense was spared on the quality, genuine parts that were used in this build. Over $45,000 dollars was spent. I always get tons of compliments and people wanting to take pictures with it at the Gas Station or the Grocery Store. Although it is a real head turner for some reason Cops never pull me over, maybe they like the car that much. The Engine is a Fully Built 2.1! SR20DET that makes over 423 WHP on 91 Octane Pump Gas and over 550 WHP on race fuel. Low Miles! The Body only has 77,956 thousand miles. This COMPLETE Engine Build has less then 2,000 miles on it. Nissan confirms what's in the box
Tue, 28 Jan 2014While there were few doubts about what could've been hiding under the giant cardboard box being transported on a flatbed truck earlier this month, Nissan has officially confirmed that it was, in fact, a Versa Note being delivered from Amazon.

Nissan: We lose money on each Leaf replacement battery
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Nissan has been playing its cards pretty close to its chest when it comes to the production costs for Leaf battery packs. The company recently put a price on replacement batteries for customers at $5,500 plus the requirement to return the old battery. If the decommissioned battery is worth $1,000 to Nissan, as they have stated, that means the battery costs about $6,500 to make, right? Maybe even less if Nissan wants to turn a profit, as automakers are wont to do? Wrong.
Green Car Reports spoke to Nissan about these battery costs, and found that the automaker actually loses money on selling the replacement battery for the Leaf at the current price. Jeff Kuhlman, Nissan's vice president of global communications said, "Nissan makes zero margin on the replacement program. In fact, we subvent every exchange." All you English majors will know that "subvent" is a fancy way to say "subsidize." Kuhlman added, though, "We have yet to sell one battery as part of the program."
The fact that Nissan offers its replacement batteries for less than it costs to manufacture them is telling of a company both cares about what its customer needs and is dedicated to the success of its product. In this case, both of those things encourage people to give up fossil fuels and adopt electric mobility, which is heartening. As more people switch to battery-powered driving, though, battery technology should become better and cheaper, and the scale of production should cause manufacturing costs to decrease. Eventually, Nissan could easily see itself breaking even selling the Leaf battery replacements.
Mercedes considering Mexico for CLA production
Tue, 16 Jul 2013Would you buy a Mercedes-Benz if it were made in Mexico? That's what the German outfit is wondering, as it considers localizing production of the its new budget model at a factory operated by Nissan, of which the automaker is a joint-venture partner.
According to a report from Automotive News, moving production of American-spec CLAs from Hungary to Mexico would protect Mercedes from currency fluctuations. "Mexico is the best location for the United States," Daimler Chairman Dieter Zetsche told AN. The CLA is also expected to become the brand's volume model in the US market, which makes North American production a logical move.
In the event that Mercedes approves the plan, Nissan would expand the capabilities at its Aguascalientes, Mexico plant, allowing production to begin in 2018.
