I received the vehicle as a gift from my father 2005 and have kept it in working order since he titled it to me in 2009.
It drives well, has low mileage, and is a good base for a restoration.

I'm selling the 240 because she is starting to show her age,
The vehicle's sensors, wiring, and rubber components are getting old and causing the annoyances experienced in most vehicles at the 20 year mark.

*Driver's side door sensor not registering to the cabin light and automatic seat-belt.
*Needs a tune-up, engine flush, fresh bushings, some adjustments or possibly a new knock sensor.
*Dashboard needs mending and resurfacing.
*Needs New Shocks/Struts.
*Has some dings/war wounds.

Utility:
Good Base for a Restoration or Custom Build.
If needing a daily driver, would require only some basic repairs and replacements to prepare for a return to workhorse use.

History:
It may be one of the cleaner vehicles to start a restoration or custom build with; but I don't have the time or money to properly restore it and as much as it pains me I need a vehicle I can workhorse/daily-drive out of the box.
It was in an accident in 1994, my father purchased the car without knowledge of this; however the repairs were thorough, the chassis is solid, and the accident did not affect the performance of the vehicle in the approximately 17 years we've owned it.
When the vehicle was titled to me it had developed a vibration problem at highway speeds that no mechanic would resolve, I had it inspected to determine it was safe, did some research on the design of the vehicle, and resolved the problem by replacing the sway bars and tie rod ends; it has since driven properly and as it turned out, the problem was simply worn out bushings.

The 240SX does have a few war wounds from my teenage years and could use a paint job but beyond that I have always kept it in working order.

The mileage I've listed is correct, I have no idea what is wrong with those emissions inspectors but their mileage is all over the place; apparently since purchasing it my father drove it negative 41,000 miles before the first inspection in 1996 and then decided to circle the earth 11 times over the course of the year before the next inspection in 1997.

Infiniti's new Design Director is American Alfonso Albaisa

Fri, 10 May 2013

The man responsible for creating the sleek 2010 Nissan Ellure Concept you see above is now the design director for Infiniti. Alfonso Albaisa (shown at right) has been a member of the Nissan design team for 25 years, but was recently promoted to executive design director for the Infiniti brand.
His past roles at Nissan have included design director for Nissan from 2004 to 2007, vice president of Nissan Design Europe from 2007 to 2011, vice president of Nissan Design America in 2011 and, most recently, he held the title of Nissan's global design director. Aside from Ellure, Albaisa was also responsible for designing the 2012 Nissan Xtrem Concept, "key strategic production vehicles soon to be launched" and he's even contributed to a handful of Infiniti designs. Nissan 'Ride of Your Life' campaign turns an Altima into a race car [w/video]

Thu, 08 May 2014

Nissan definitely makes some exciting vehicles. The GT-R has received continuous improvements to keep it at the head of the pack in the performance car world. And the Leaf might not bring driving intensity, but its technology is quite impressive. However, there is nothing especially thrilling about the Altima. Granted, it races in the Australian V8 Supercars series, but that car really only shares its basic shape with the production version. So it may see surprising that the Japanese automaker is hoping to inject some drama into its midsize sedan with its new Ride of Your Life ad campaign.
The project is pretty clever. Nissan invited several people to the Horse Thief Mile circuit at Willow Springs Raceway for a ride in an Altima racecar. After a few laps with a professional driver around the course, they pulled into the pits, and the passengers got a big surprise. We won't spoil what happens for you. You can check it out in the video below.
The concept is somewhat similar to Toyota's thrill ride ads for the Camry last year. Both promotions try to show that that these four-door, family sedans can be more than just boring transportation. Nissan's commercials will begin airing on TV soon. The automaker hopes to excite potential Altima buyers ahead of its upcoming national sales event. Scroll down to watch the video to find out the big secret and read the full release about the campaign.

Nissan unveils ZEOD RC at Nismo HQ in Japan [w/videos]

Thu, 17 Oct 2013

At Le Mans this past summer, Nissan unveiled the first prototype for the ZEOD RC, a new hybrid racecar which it intends to field at the famous French endurance race next year. Four months have passed since then, totaling eight month of development, and now Nissan has revealed the final form at the headquarters of its Nismo racing division.
The updated Nissan ZEOD RC benefits from a more streamlined shape with optimized cooling and improved aerodynamics. Although billed as an electric vehicle and not a hybrid, the ZEOD RC pairs a 1.6-liter turbo four with a pair of electric motors. Its regenerative braking system is derived from the Leaf RC, and after 11 laps, it's said to be capable of taking another around the Circuit de la Sarthe under electric power alone, making it the first racecar capable of doing so. Nissan has further stated that it hopes the lessons it garners from this project will help in its development of a new LMP1 to challenge for overall victory at Le Mans in the near future.
The ZEOD RC will be on display at Fuji Speedway this weekend during the six-hour FIA World Endurance Championship race there, after which it will continue its development at the hands of former GT1 champion Michael Krumm and gamer-turned-racer Lucas Ordonez, who will be getting it ready for (and possibly drive it at) next year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. There it will compete - faster than most GTE sportscars, says Nissan - in the Garage 56 spot that once was awarded to the DeltaWing, which Nissan sponsored and to which the ZEOD RC looks conspicuously similar.
