I am selling a 1992 Nissan 240sx that has a S-14 SR20Det engine. The car was T-boned on the driver side so the body is pretty much destroyed but the front of the car was not hurt. I would be lying if I said I knew how many miles the drivetrain had because ,lets face it, no one really knows how many miles these jap take outs really have. The car will still start up and run and has no funny noises. It will move but not very far. It should be relatively easy to load on a trailer. I am not sure how to load a video on here so if you would like to hear it run you can email me and I will either send you a clip or facetime while I start it; whatever is most convenient. Some of the mods are a blitz BOV, FMIC (not sure which brand but when I ordered it years ago I got it in dimensions that would mount behind the metal part of the bumper so it would maintain the structural integrity), Header (again not sure of the brand and I believe the turbo is stock). It still has all the exhaust up to the muffler but the muffler got destroyed in the accident. This would be a great buy for someone looking to do the swap because all the parts are there and you can actually hear it run so you know what your buying. The car does still have other good parts but the value is really under the hood. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will answer as promptly as possible. I do have a title for the car. Teen attempts car jump, hits windshield and lands on his feet
Tue, 11 Jun 2013I've been compelled to do many things in or around a car, but jumping over one has never quite made the cut. That may be because I have all of the vertical lift of a manatee, but I digress. One enterprising young soul recently looked at a friend's Nissan Sentra and thought, "You know, I can totally leap right over that roof line."
By using what can only be described as Herculean feats of persuasion, he talked one young female friend into driving said Nissan straight for him at around 40 miles per hour while another stood by to film the lunacy. The plan went swimmingly right up until our would be compact-vaulter caught his foot on the hood and bounced into the windshield. Whoops.
But the story doesn't end with a trip to the emergency room. Our hero spun mid-air and actually managed to get his feet under him before coming back to Earth. Impressive. You can watch the hilarity for yourself below, but please, don't even think about trying this yourself.
2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo gets official
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Behold the 2014 Nissan GT-R as dressed by Nismo and inspired by the GT3-spec race car that competed in this year's Nürburgring 24-hour race. Called the "ultimate iteration of Nissan's GT-R supercar," power goes up by 55 horsepower to 600 hp with updates like high-flow, large diameter turbos, and torque is "over 480 pound-feet," which means it's risen by at least 35 lb-ft.
Helping to keep it right-way up and pointed in the right direction are a race-tuned suspension with a larger, hollow anti-roll bar, custom Bilstein DampTronic dampers and the use of high-rigidity bolts. Outside, a new aero package from the wider front carbon bumper to the carbon rear spoiler above a longer, tapered rear bumper creates an additional 220 pounds of downforce at 186 miles per hour compared to the standard GT-R. Rumors of a 'Ring time of 7:08 abound, we'll get the truth - and we assume some video - very soon.
The bodyshell construction uses adhesive to improve rigidity, and behind those windows are carbon fiber Recaro buckets - in Europe and Japan, at least - and an Alcantara-wrapped wheel. It goes on sale next year, but you can get to know more about it right now in the press release below.
