1989 Nissan 240sx S13 on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
I figured since Ebay is offering me free vehicle listings I will see if anyone is interested in what I think will be a future collectors car... once a bit of work has been done to it though.
I am unfortunately torn between building something out of a dream and restoring it to like new seeing the VIN number is pretty low. Either way I do not mind holding on to this s chassis just because I think it is neat to own such a low VIN 240sx, but for the right price I do not mind freeing up the space for a hatchback. It is not in the best of shape, and has not ran very good for a couple of years now. I have had the car a couple of years now (maybe around 3 years) and it has been titled to my father and I during this time. It has been in Nevada its whole life stateside, and there is only light rust from where paint has flaked off from dents. It would make a great project to build into something really neat, or restore to have a really nice low VIN 240sx ready for when the collectors are looking for them. I can not say it would make a good reliable daily driver, and is probably will not pass smog with out a good amount of work. On Jan-23-14 at 14:47:14 PST, seller added the following information: I had answered a couple questions about the car, but I have not seen them get posted to the ad. The car is an automatic, and also I will not publicly, nor via email be telling the reserve price. Thank you :] |

Nissan hopes to inject some spice into Rogue with 'Open The Briefcase'
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Nissan is in the midst of rolling out the redesigned 2014 Rogue and has launched an interesting social media game called Open The Briefcase. The video that launches this game depicts a simple ride-share gone very wrong, with a man getting embroiled in a high-speed chase in a bid to escape with a strange briefcase. Eventually, it all goes haywire, and the man and his driver are captured. The only question seems to be, what's in the briefcase?
The contest, which asks participants to select one of three briefcases by cracking a code, is set to reward three individuals with a new Rogue. New attempts can be made each day, and participants can get additional chances to open a briefcase by sharing the video. The contest kicked off on January 3 and will run until February 14. Hop over to the contest page on Facebook to take part, or just watch the video below and enjoy a bit of entertainment.
Ghosn orders Nissan USA to double sales by 2017
Mon, 13 May 2013Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn has just one teensy-weensy request for its United States arm: Double your sales by 2017.
"China was not our biggest, I would say, disappointment. It was mainly the United States. We were expecting a strong year in the United States. It didn't happen," Ghosn said, speaking at a conference after announcing Nissan's 2012 fiscal results, Automotive News reports. Because of this, Ghosn has ordered his US executives to iron out the problems that affected new vehicle launches and to strengthen the company's dealer network.
In 2012, Nissan's US sales rose to 1.1 million units - a five-percent increase, and a record, at that. But the company's overall market share fell from 8.2 percent to 7.7 percent, putting the company further away from its goal of having a 10-percent stake overall.
Nissan Qashqai caught looking sleek
Wed, 03 Jul 2013The next-generation of the not-for-US-consumption Nissan Qashqai has been out doing some testing in southern Europe this week. And, if the dressed-in-trash-bags look is any indication, it's been doing a lot of roadwork so it can make weight for the big meet the weekend.
Nissan designers haven't been scared to take big design chances with recent new models, so expectations are that the Qashqai crossover will get a bold new visage for its generational changeover. What we see in these photos indicates a sleeker, slightly trimmer CUV however, with no trace of the bug-eyed look we captured recently on a testing Titan.
In the rest of the world, it's a good bet that the Qashqai will be powered by engines ranging from a 1.2-liter turbo up to a 1.6-liter forced-induction unit; that larger one good for something like 215 horsepower. Diesel powerplants will be in the mix, too, for the compact CUV, and word is that Nismo might get its hands on this Rogue cousin for the first time ever.
