Selling my 1995 Mercedes Benz E300D. The car was purchased from Hoehn Mercedes in Carlsbad, California and most service work has been completed by this dealer. I am the 2nd owner. The car is a true So Cal rust free car that I have used for the past seven years to drive a 120 mile round-trip work commute, so the majority of the miles are freeway miles.The car delivers a consistent 33-35 mpg and drive a solid 700 miles on a full tank of fuel. The car is completely original and in very nice condition, everything works. I keep it garaged at night and usually during the day too when I'm at work. The only non-original addition to the car is the window tint.
The body is in decent shape, but has a few scratches and very minor door dings. It does have a short crease in the sheetmetal below the fuel door when a motorcyclist dropped his bike against the car. The paint didn't chip, so it may be repairable by a dent doctor. The windshield is pitted and does have a crack on the passenger side. The interior is in excellent condition except for the headliner which is showing signs of starting to sag along the rear window. Major recent service within the past 24 months includes new front and rear brake rotors, pads and fluid flush, transmission fluid flush, coolant flush, I also had the engine mounts, serpentine belt, engine shock and belt tensioner pulleys replaced about 4 years ago. The engine oil and filter is changed every 5000 miles using Lubromoly 15-40 and Mann filters and the fuel filters are changed every 25K miles. Michelin tires have about 25K miles on them The car has been extremely well cared for.
I currently have the car parked in the underground garage of my employer in Irvine, CA 92606 which is a short 15 minute drive to the Orange County/John Wayne airport for those considering a fly-in/drive home option. I will also help coordinating with shippers if that is an option.

Mercedes was set to sell version of Nissan Titan, now Infiniti might instead
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Mercedes-Benz Titan. Mercedes-Benz Frontier. Mercedes-Benz pickup truck. None of these things roll off the tongue particularly well. We'd like to think that's the reason Daimler opted to kill the idea of rebadged Titan and Frontier pickups from corporate ally Nissan. In reality, the execution before the Frankfurt Motor Show was due to more complicated issues.
Yes, Mercedes, byword for German luxury, style and quality, would have slapped a three-pointed star on a pair of Japanese pickup trucks that have failed to resonate with consumers in the world's largest truck market. That slapping of badges isn't much of an exaggeration, at least on the outside. According to the report from Road & Track, the truck's front clip would have been tweaked, but beyond that, the sheetmetal would have been unchanged. The interior would have received a more thorough going-over by the team at Mercedes, while the suspension and noise, vibration and harshness tuning would have also received significant attention.
The trucks would have ended up being sold through the light-commercial branch of Mercedes-Benz - the same folks that will happily sell you a Sprinter van - had the deal gone through. Issues arose, though, first with the engines. Mercedes wanted a wider range of powertrains to allow it to tune models for specific markets, while Nissan said it couldn't engineer the wide variety of engines that MB wanted to drop under the hood. For the smaller truck, meanwhile, MB was interested in a hybrid or plug-in variant, according to R&T, although this was also shot down by Nissan.
Forza Horizon announces January Recaro Car Pack with LFA N"urburgring Edition

World Car Of The Year down to its final four

Judges for the World Car of the Year Award have narrowed down the finalists to just four vehicles. Out of a total of 42 entries, only the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Porsche Boxster/Cayman, Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT-86 and Volkswagen Golf remain standing. For Volkswagen, this marks the second consecutive year the company has had an entry among the finalists, and the fourth time since 2009. In order to qualify, a vehicle must be on sale on two continents during the span of time between January 1, 2013 and May 30, 2013. A panel of 66 journalists from 23 countries then vote on the finalists.
Three vehicles have made the cut for the last round of voting on the 2013 World Performance Car as well, with the Cayman/Boxster and FR-S/BRZ/GT-86 running against the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Meanwhile, the Renault Zoe, Tesla Model S and Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid are duking it out for the World Green Car Award. Finally, the World Car Design of the Year Award is up for grabs between the Aston Martin Vanquish, Jaguar F-Type, and the Mazda6. Check out the full press release below.
