2002 Mercedes-Benz CL6002002 Mecedes-Benz CL600 VIN: Miles: 150000 This car is an absolutely superior automobile to drive and look at and sold new at the dealership for $122,000 in 02'. It is the epitome of owning a V12 sports coupe. The 5.8L 12-cylinder engine pushes 360+ horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque and completes the quarter mile in 14.2 seconds at 102 mph. It is built for speed, luxury and absolute trump style and comfort and delivers a very smooth unique riding experience. The naturally aspirated engine is complemented by Mercedes’ active body control (ABC) hydraulic suspension, which keeps things level and comfortable in drive and tighter to the road in sport. The car also drops down into “6-cylinder mode” when full thrust is not required to increase fuel economy. The car is equipped with comfort and sport drive modes, tiptronic shifting, parktronic bumper sensors to warn running into objects, one-touch cruise control, navigation system, Bose premium sound, phone capabilities, beautiful hand-stitched leather dash, Sliver/chrome paint on a Black and finished wood interior, pulse massage and highly movable seats, rear seats and windows, rear privacy screen, custom upgraded 18" chrome wheels and the new CL model grille and more. This car truly is a superior automobile and is selling for a fraction for what it sold for new. Mechanics are all in operation and everything works as it should. I just recently replaced the ignition coil pack and transmission module on the car (the necessary repairs for late life), and had a full service oil change with Pentosin motor oil done by my Mercedes dealer. If anyone knows Mercedes, they will continue to run tremendously well in high milage when maintained. Call or email for more info or pics, you will not find a cheaper CL in this condition and should appreciate. I'm a private owner and must sell the car. Garage kept at my house, call/text/ me at 303-621-5126 Asking $14,900. Located in DENVER CO 80220.National Marketing Classifieds is listing this vehicle for a Private Seller. New Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe spied in revealing state of dress
Tue, 19 Feb 2013During a product briefing earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz told us that 2013 would be the "year of the S-Class." Makes sense, too, since the flagship Mercedes is so very close to finally showing its production-ready face. But the high-tech saloon isn't the only S-Class to talk about this year - quite the contrary. Seen here in decidedly revealing camouflage, the new S-Class Coupe will be joining its four-door compadre in the not-too-distant future, as well.
When it launches, the S-Class Coupe will officially do away with the CL-Class nomenclature. This doesn't come as a huge shock. After all, when the new E-Class coupe and convertible were launched, it officially marked the end of the long-running CLK-Class designation.
Thanks to the interesting camouflage seen here, we have a very good glimpse at how the S-Class Coupe will look when all of the molding and swirly paper are peeled off. Rakish body lines pulled from the CLS-Class meet a much more dynamic front fascia. Out back, there are horizontal taillamps rather than the vertical units used on the current car, and the whole package seems very svelte. Our spy photographer even posits that this will be "the best-looking car from Mercedes-Benz in ages."
XCAR marks 20-year anniversary of Senna's passing with Mercedes 190E Cosworth
Thu, 01 May 2014While the automotive world is focusing on the twentieth anniversary of Ayrton Senna's death, there was much, much more to the legendary driver than his untimely passing at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
XCAR has the story of a younger Senna, who, by a stroke of luck, found himself matched up against a veritable dream team of nine Formula One champions, not to mention a cadre of German touring car aces. A "probably still pissed (drunk)" James Hunt, hard-driving Niki Lauda and future champion and rival Alain Prost, were in attendance for the one-off, spec race, which was put on by Mercedes-Benz, in honor of the opening of the Nürburgring's Grand Prix circuit. And Senna was on hand with the explicit goal of besting them all.
Each driver was handed a lightly modified, but brand-new 190E 2.3-16 Cosworth, a car that can best be though of as the distant ancestor of the lovable C63 AMG. As for the race itself, well, it was sort of like an introduction of what the sport could come to expect from the Brazilian.
Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept gets mobbed in China
Sat, 20 Apr 2013If the reception it received at the Shanghai Motor Show is any judge of marketplace acceptance, Mercedes-Benz has a hit on its hands in the form of the GLA Concept. And we can understand why - we're quickly becoming fans of Mercedes' recent styling language, as defined by new models like the CLA and this GLA Concept.
The big news on the exterior front are the headlamp clusters, which have frickin' laser beams attached to their foreheads embedded inside that are capable of projecting videos and images on a screen. Plus, a pair of video cameras are mounted on the roof that can be used to capture driving excitement or removed and taken with you. How cool is that? We just hope they have a substantial locking mechanism to prevent would-be thievery...
If the exterior is mostly ready for production, with a few of the more outlandish elements moved to the trash bin - like, for instance, laser-beam headlamps and removable action cams - the interior is a true custom job that screams concept loud and clear. There are all kinds of jewel-like finishes inside, along with transparent surfaces showing what looks like metal latticework underneath and some awfully thick looking leather with massive exterior stitching done by hand similar to what you'd find on a baseball glove.
